    Re: anyone\'s oil pan gasket LEAKING??? on 96/97 b/w?? I you have oil at the starter that means the flywheel is tossing it. Most likely it is the rear main seal retainer gasket that is leaking. I have resealed alot of them. Use silicone to reseal it. The gasket is thin and will leak again.

    Run Run away fast. The fascia has to come to get to it. ( Part of the job.) There is no reason to remove the hood. The only cost to you should be your deductable.

    Recall or not to recall...that is the question

    This recall really isnt that bad. there is no dissassembly of the car at all to add the reinforcement and gussets. it only gets bad and requires more than a day if frame parts have to be replaced. Just make sure you take it to a well known viper tech and make sure he/she can weld ok.

    Lifter Noise

    Some lifter noise is normal. 15-50 oil is to heavy for hydraulic lifters. Try 10-30 mobil-1 and see if that quiets them down a little.

    I dont think 3inch pipes would fit in there. Also it is very important that billet aluminum plate remains on the bottom side of the frame as this boxes/stiffens it. Question- why would you consider some that knows so little about this car to do a performance upgrade.

    There is no mopar part numbers. You have to out source this stuff. It comes in sheets and you cut out as needed. Try a stereo shop or such. Also look in plumbing at the hardware store.

    Stopping distance improvement of ABS Vipers over non-ABS?

    The straight on stopping distance with ABS is most likey greater but the car remains stable and manuverable giving it a much safer feel, ABS also allows you to drive deeper into the turns because a computer manages threshhold braking instead of a less consistant human.

    Fog Lights

    If the fascia has been replaced the oem part supersedes to the newer version with lens cover slots omited. I personaly like them without the covers better.

    Help Viper wont start

    Check the ground cable that runs from behind serp belt tensioner to the frame. This may be loose if any recent work has been done. The battery is probably most likely. If the voltage drops too low when cranking the alarm will set.
