I have had a Paxton Supercharged Viper longer than anyone. Dan Craggin was instrumental in setting up my car as a test vehicle with Paxton. He is also the only one who has ever worked on my car. I've been through Cal smog tests 3 times over the years and passed all. As a matter of fact last week...
Re: I\'ve Just About Had It - I\'m Going Stock!!!!
Mine was the first productionPaxton and its been on 20,000 miles. No Problems! You need a good tuner.
I know every mile of PCH and its not safe to go 90mph let alone 140! That speed at night means you were out-driving your lights and in the day there is NO part of PCH that is empty enough to run anywhere near that speed any day of the week. What did you prove? You beat a heavier car with less...
The regular C-6 frame is steel. The Z0-6 frame is aluminum for weight savings and it is much more flexible. Even the steel frame in the C-5 model was not as stiff as it should have been. The real problem will be the higher compression ratio.
GM has already said its aluminum chassis twists more than the regular Vet, how's that for performance engineering? We have such poor gas here I would be really worried about the high compression ratio. Every Chevy built car I ever owned, including Vets, broke when real power was put through the...
The Roe is NOT Cal DOT legal and should not pass smog visual. DC has put in Many Paxtons which produce more power. You might also think about a 3:55 rear
Sorry to rain on your parade but that was not smart. Our cars, when stock, are tough enough to handle in the dry when you know them. You added a supercharger and maybe 175 RWHP, you have never opened it up and then in the rain you are street racing with no experience at all! I had a good friend...
I suggest that someone file a criminal charge with the local police for grand larceny and fraud. Insist on an arrest. If you can connect Shelby with it arrest him too. This requires drastic action. If Shelby is arrested there will be big NEWS coverage and the car will instantly appear.
You can find their web site at www.calchrome.com. I had mine done there about 15 months ago and they looked great! I do have some small brown/gray spotting now on one area of one wheel. We will see how they react to the defect. I expect the best since they seem so honest and up front.
Re: How strong is the bottom end and pistons of the Gen 3 \'05 for BOOST
I have the first production Paxton kit ever on my "cream puff". It is very conservatively tuned by Dan Cragin and is putting out 600 RWHP. I have 15,000 miles on it and all is fine. The rods and pistons are stock and we...
Huraaaaaaaaay for Kirkham. There still are good people in this world. I will make a point of buying something from them as soon as I can! Why aren't there more people out there like this?
I had run flats on my Vet. They are heavier than regular tires, stiffer and a lot less predictable. They stick, stick, stick, and sudden let go without warning! The guys on the Vet board call them "run craps" for good reason.
When you see it on the street, with all the bells and whistles GM will want to add, it will weigh much more. I also think that GM will have trouble with the running gear. Every time I added power to my Vet something broke. Vipers are bullet proof and that explains our car's weight. If Corvette...
