I have the original Magic Carpet Ride DVD, I will be placing on eBay. What would be a good starting bid for this? I know it's rare and would like to get top dollar to pay for prostate cancer treatments.
I would like to attend Saturdays event. Can anybody with a Viper just show up or do you pre-register? I don't drive a show car but would like to mingle with other owners.
Excellent advice on crankshaft bolt. Mine worked loose and kept eating belts. Fortunately no damage. This forum saved me an engine. Mechanic new nothing about crank bolt until I told him. No problem since tightening several years ago.
Hi Guys,
A little off topic but important information I shared during a recent interview with New York Times. Was able to sneak a picture of 2000 Viper GTS. Strong message for guys over 50.

Just had my window regulator replaced by dealer. The part alone was $540. Weird thing the motor worked well on old but wouldn't operate window up or down. Is there any residual value in old broken regulator? I would think someone could rebuild it.
I have two sets (8 pads) OEM Brembo's (front) that will fit a 2000 GTS. One set is about 50% with other set about 65-70% worn. Yours for $30 including shipping. Would make nice track pads. They were never tracked and removed prematurely due to dust issue. My email is viperguy @...
Thanks for the help guys. Replaced front pads without issues thanks to your instructions. I was able to apply enough pressure with fingers to depress pistons on front side of caliper and used old pad (as suggested) for engine side of caliper. I'm glad caliper did not have to come off vehicle...
Makes sense using old pad for piston push back. I suppose you would use a large flat screw driver with a tiny piece of wood behind it using rotor for leverage to push back pistons. The small piece of wood will stop any scaring of rotor from screw driver leverage.
My new EBC red pads have some...
Thanks for the reply Steve. Replace one at a time, interesting. I supposed a wooden paint stir stick would fit in that area. I've always used a C-clamp on my other vehicles because it does take a bit of force to push pistons back. However I'll certainly give it a try. I purchased EBC red...
I've read on this forum it is not necessary to unbolt caliper when replacing front pads. Simply remove two pins and pull out pads. When installing new pads how would you depress caliper pistons this way?
I will most likely need to remove calipers since pads are quite worn. Anybody know...
I still have my old RT side curtains which were only used a few times. The plastic is very clear with no scratches. What is a good price to ask for these? I really don't have a clue. Was thinking about putting them on eBay.
Only hesitation I have with Pure One is flow rate. I've read where it does such a good job as a filter it may hamper flow for high performance engines.
I have been using a PureOne oil filter on my Ram Hemi. Really like the grip texture of the filter and good price. Any recommendations for this type filter for a Gen 2, 2000 Model GTS? Really makes an easy on/off. Have been using Mobil 1 filter but is it really necessary to spend double the...
Are there any after market HUD's for the GTS that displays tach readings and speed? I drove a nice C6 and loved that feature. I am aware of some iphone apps making a poor attempt at HUD but it's practically invisible in daylight.
My belt did the same thing. Don't replace stuff that does not need replacing. Mine was the crankshaft bolt. I believe it is torqued somewhere around 250 lbs. Dodge dealer fixed the problem and never happened again. (PS: I found the answer on this forum and shared with the dealer)
I have two, like new, side curtains from my 1994 RT. I'm thinking about putting these in the classified section. I have no clue what they are worth and do not want to short change myself. I'm still paying off medical bills from cancer surgery last year and will use the proceeds towards that...
I can see TooHot4U's point. It goes beyond paying extra money at the pump. It's nothing more than the old shell game where people are getting ripped off by those middle eastern oil companies. There is no reasoning behind the steep increase in price other than greed. Our stupid politicians...
