    brake pads, need help

I had the EBC greens for about 20k miles and never liked them much. Jam on the brakes in a quick stop and they didn't seemed to grab very well. I switched to Stoptech(front)/hawk(rear) with EBC slotted rotors. No squeaking and very little dust compared to stock, plus the rotors look cool. They...

Informal survey: 5psi Roe owners' 1/4 mile ETs

Re: Informal survey: 5psi Roe owners\' 1/4 mile ETs Another point of interest would be the car prep and the tuning. The Roe blower gets heat soaked, many ice the blower. Custom tuning can make a lot of difference. With the 5 lb pulley and card that was included in the kit I ran 11.4@119...

To Weird, But this morning I saw a Z06 hit the wall...

I agree with Ben. Nearly EVERY crash I've see at the track goes something like this. Car starts to spin tires, car gets a little sideways, drivers stays on it, corrects with tires spinning, car over corrects in opposite direction, driver lifts to straiten the car, oops too late, car zings across...

    OT: Better Business Bureau

Hi Larry. I had a BBB membership for a couple of years (no longer a member). Basically it doesn't get you anything to be a member. From what I recall you can NOT advertise the BBB logo (that your a member) you just get this little plaque to hang on the wall. The BBB will open a file on you if...

    3 bucks a gallon

$5/gallon would lower traffic and get those $#@% SUV's off the road  and that's a good thing

    what kumhos to get

I'm on my 3rd set of Kumhos. Don't get them shaved. I believe tirerack has all the Kumhos heat cycled. They last about 6-8K miles. Don't drive over 45 MPH in the rain.

okay this is really weird!! Need some diagnosis from experts

No expert but the bolt where the red battery cable under the hood connects was loose causing the exact same thing. The nut on the outside was tight but there is another nut under the black plastic fuse block which supplies the power to the rest of the car. You have to remove the fuse block and...

BTR Tom won the street tire shootout V-10 Nationals

Congrats Tom :2tu: Looks like some good racing Weather for Sunday high 62 partly cloudy. Wish I had my car done, I would be joining the fun. Props to everyone that drove their own car on street tires, it's not an easy thing to do. I'll be there Sunday with a video camera  Mike

At what PSI do you refill a NOS bottle?

Sean where did you put the single nozzle? Wouldn't it be better to use 2 in front of the throttle bodies, one on each side? Also what PSI did you have when you gained the 100rwhp from the nitrous. Thanks

Coming to the Viper family first...One 'hellofa' deal on a 750hp + Viper!!

Re: Coming to the Viper family first...One \'hellofa\' deal on a 750hp + Viper!! You might get more $$ by parting out the car and putting it back to stock. That motor sounds sweet and would fetch a good price by itself. Just an idea, good luck on your new house.

went to the track last night and got kicked out !

You should consider a roll bar. I have one from BTR and don't even notice it in the car. I think Tom has a new version where you can retain your stock seat belts. With some ET streets and a 1.5 60' it would have been a 10.9 I've seen more accidents, and potential accidents (crossovers) at the...

    HELP!!!! Locking Gas Cap Locked!!

On mine, you hold the cap with one hand to prevent it from rotating, while turning the key to unlock. Once the key is turned, the top should no longer free spin. Then you can remove the key and simply unscrew like a regular cap. Hope this helps.

VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!! I think Vipermed should just offer a 30 money back guarantee for all the Vipair's sold (just like Roe does with the VEC1) Since 95% will not be returned, the customers will be happy, problem solved everyone is happy :) One thing Russ did prove with...

    Viper vs Ford GT

The GT has a 43/57 weight distribution. I thought the reason why to go mid engine was to get 50/50  The GTS has 49/51 (if I remember correctly) and I'm not sure about the SRT but the GT seems to be tail heavy. Is it better have more weight in the rear for a road course? Regardless...

    Viper vs Ford GT

It's a very nice car I'd like to have one, but not at $150k I can't see Ford selling 1,500 a year for 3 years at $150k each. I don't think there are 4,500 people in America with that kind of $$ that would want the car. Sure the first couple hundred will go like hot cakes but after that it'll be...

Which version of Unitrax did you break? Titanium? I have the older steel HD Unitrax, they don't look like yours. At least you didn't damage your car. Good luck in Gainesville.
