    2008 Stripes to thin, IMHO

    I too did not like the thin stripes. I will be having mine painted locally and in the wide stripe. I also did not care for the fact that the rear lower panel is blacked out on factory striped cars. It looks good on the dark cars but, on the SSG it looks unfinished. I ordered mine with no stripe...

    What is the fastest You have driven?

    165 on a country road in the UP of Michigan. Most of our normal cruises are 130, 140 but, don't tell anyone.:D I will try for the almighty 200 in the new 08 when it is broke in but, on a track this time.:drive:

    08 Vipers sales seem to be slow....

    I think the reason it seems Viper sales are slow is because a majority of the orders are customer orders and are presold. You just don't hear about them. The sales are done when the car arrives and the customer takes it home or has it delivered. Anyone who wanted one could just contact a dealer...

    Important news for 2008 orders

    You have a VIN already. I ordered in September and didn't get a VON for two weeks. I still do not have a VIN. Should I be worried? I told the dealer I didn't want the car till early spring so maybe they are just holding it till then. I do not know how the ordering prosess works.

    What is so spectacular about the SSG is that the color is always changing. Different light, different shade of green. I didn't like it until I saw it, then WOW. You will love it.
