    R/T magazine article PowerTrip

In Road and Tracks Latest issue there is an Article (Power Trip) which compares the Twin Turbo Porsche Coupe to the 2003 Viper Convertible. The photos at speed show the Viper with the top down. Please tell me they didn't road test the Viper that way! there's at least a half second or more lost...

    C&D SRT review: uninspiring....

Motor trend magazine has worse times than C and D. And knocked the car too! Usually car mags praise a new car at first just to satisfy the manufacture and create some excitement. This is the first time in a very long time that I'm seeing a car magazine rag a new car right from the get go.

    SRT-10 Front End Mods

I like it too. Its better than Dodges version.

Dodge... Real photos of Silver and black... Please!

I'm with you Mike, I feel I made a mistake ordering the 2003 viper. Dodge made us commit to buying the new viper without knowing the price then raised it 8500 dollars after all certs were in. Shame on them. I'm disappointed to say the least.

    03 Pricing Annouced Today

Did anyone read this weeks Autoweek where they printed the 2003 viper MSRP. The interesting thing was they said there was a 5000 dollar increase from 2002. $80,795 compared to $75,500. They used these figures: 75,500 for the 2002 which i believe would calculate from 71,725 base plus 775...

    2005 Corvette revealed....

If you remember back in 1995 Motor Trend and Road and Track had sketches of the New 97 vette that was designed by their California studio. It was even propsed to have a turbocharged V6. shorted car with longer wheel base, but non of that happened. I think thats what we are seeing now with the...

    Price announced on SRT-10

Road and Track had a computer mock up of the 2004 vette, looks good. supposed to have more horses too. I bet it doesn't go for 10K over 2003 vette. How much more do we have to shell out over the $83,795 for the hardtop? another $3000 ? plus sales tax. also how are we getting a 10k discount from...

    Price announced on SRT-10

A few more points I'd like to make and again its just my opinion. I think we'd be better served to show what we feel about the huge price increase then all the negative threads about the design. The design is set basically but the price can be altered if enough negative press wakes them up at...

    Price announced on SRT-10

CRAIG, i didn't say I was buying the car for status. I said cars in that price range have more status than Dodge. I think VENOM LOVER stated it better than I in his previous reply.

    Price announced on SRT-10

When the price of the new Viper starts hitting 84K plus sales tax one has to look around at other sports cars. The competition may not be as fast but probably has better amenities, better fit and finish and better status. When the Viper was in the low to mid 70's in price it fit into a nice...

    Price announced on SRT-10

Let me see if I got this right 2002 r/t list price including gas guzzler tax is 75,500. The 2003 srt is 83,795 . Dodge is raising the price almost 8,300 dollars!!! I don't think thats a good deal at all. I have to seriously rethink this whole thing. This is getting out of hand.

    Z06 against SRT 10

Well if the final price after a few grand for the hardtop starts creeping into the mid eighties to dare I say high eighties (84k plus 3k)then I have to admit the GT40 is starting to look awfully tempting at under 100k. I just like the GT40 looks better and with less weight and more HP its...

    Z06 against SRT 10

I'm disappointed to hear 84K for the 2003 srt, And then what another 2-3K for the hardtop in 6 months. I thought 73-75K . Now I need to reconsider, this is getting very pricey.

    Lessons learned

Good point REVVER , I had a C4 and was very disappointed when the C5 came out but started liking it as the years went by. My 2001 vetteC5 is great and I'm glad I bought it.

    For a Whiner, I'm a fair guy........

Re: For a Whiner, I\'m a fair guy........ ON MY SCREEN THE COLOR CAME OUT CHERRY AND LOOKED AWESOME !!! I WISH I COULD ORDER IT THAT WAY RATHER THAN THE PRODUCTION RED.I'M GETTING TIRED OF THAT ONE BUT DIDN'T LIKE SILVER AND HAVEN'T SEEN ANY REALLY CRISP SHOTS OF BLACK.

    I LOVE THE SRT-10

I like the new Viper SRT also. I agree with Frank 01 GTS about what attracts me to it. I wanted a more driveable car. A fast one but with a deadfoot, real convert, more power, better radio etc. It seems like the 2003 will have these things. This will enable me to drive it to work, long trips...

    New BLACK renditions

JUST A WORD OF COMFORT TO THE GUYS THATS FEEL THE DESIGN OF THE 2003 VIPER IS LACKING. ACCORDING TO FRIENDS OF MINE THAT SAW THE PROTOTYPE LIVE, IT IS MUCH MORE APPEALING IN PERSON THAN IN PRINT.
