Not at all, Allan. Just carrying on a conversation.
You are so correct about peoples "likes" for a certain brand being based on "dad used" or worse yet, what "the board all swears by". I am not a follower or a fan-boy of any brand. If it works, it works. I think most peolpe today listen to...
Wow, sounds like our experience in auto industry is very very similar. Scary almost how much so.
You mention sludge. I have never seen or heard of any engine developing sludge from the oil itself. It usually comes from extended, overly long drain intervals, engines not getting up to temp, or...
Why not? Something bad going to happen?
You have any real proof, or you also drinking the Kool-Aid?
My God, if all those who cry "This oil is bad", or "This oil filter is bad" had any real proof, how come you have not gone and shown it to the manufacturers in question?
The sky is...
The Vette was being sold with $ going to charity. Rick Hendrick gives big $$ to charities, so no surprise here.
Was the $ from the Viper going to charity? Not if IIRC.
Please ask him if he got them in the U.S., and also where. Thank you.
I know more than a few of us are waiting.
Not that this will really help me as I am waiting for Tire Rack to get in my new O.Z.'s and that also won't be until spring.
You are showing a pic of the new Trofeo R that is not even out yet in the US. Spring '13 is what I heard.
*The "regular" Trofeo is said to be 2 seconds a lap faster than the MPSC on a 2min/lap track. The "R's" should be much better yet.
* P-car racers.
If you use a Deltran Battery Tender, don't even woory about it. Plug it in and forget it.
I use them on everything I have with a battery. My cars, trucks, ATVs, PWC, tractors. Never once had a problem. Now if you use one of the cheap China brands like they have from HF, well just don't. Is the...
Sorry Ryan, wasn't meaning for it to sound like it did. I know it is temp, but was just getting how I feel across. I don't expect you to go ricer. ;) You always have classy looking cars void of "fluff".
Looks real nice but.........PlastiDip?
OK only if you just want to see how something looks. If you want to use it and keep it that way, break down and get it done right. Don't go ricer Ryan.
Look at any ricer board and every other thread is PlastiDip this or PlastiDip that. I even hate...
Unless Brembo changed the way the make rotors, theirs are NOT drilled, but have cast in holes that are later chamferd.
Then again, why would you want Brembos.....not like thy are use on F1 cars or anything
EDIT:
Why use the Z6? Wouldn't the use of it over the Sealant you are using slow the "curing process" that the sealant requires?
Does the Z6 not leave some kind of "coverage, or is it like water and just "wipes" right off? If that is the case, why not just use some water in a spray bottle...
I have/had used that same Alpine head. While it worked fine, the menu and using it was a real PITA. Press this, hold that, count to 3, release this, bark at the moon, etc. etc. etc.
Hope you have a better time with it than I did.
Got fed up with it real quick and bought a Kenwood. Does all...
Why the attitude?
Well I guess you told me. What, I don't know. Maybe you should learn how to post and use the quote function before you try and school me.
So, as someone who winterizes 100's of internal combustin engines each and every year, keep believing Seafoam is a form of stabilizer. I...
V10, if I can ever help in any way, just ask. Always willing to help out when I can.
7869]Use "Sea Foam" and be done..
Sea Foam is so 1960's
Read the MSDS on it and then you decide what good it is. It's just some oil and a mild "cleaner". As far as being able to work as a stabilizer, it...
Use it. I am pretty big into the PWC scene, and do some boating. "We" are having tons of trouble with Ethanol in these. Stabil Marine is the only thing that helps worth a damn.
Regular Stabil will work fine, but the Marine grade will just be an added bonus in your car.
Things I should have noted, I get my alignment checked every 10k also. Rotate every other oil change (5-6k)
I would not say I am a Pirelli fan, just happen top use what works for me. Mind you, if I was going to race in some way, I would be using a tire best suited for the type of racing I was...
Hmm....Pirelli's were on my Ducati's, never a problem. Great tire.
Have Scorpion ATR's on my truck. 50k and counting. Correct pressure and rotation helps here.
P-Zero's on the last... I don't know how many cars I have had. Never problem 1.
Maybe I am lucky, or maybe some just don't have any...
