1999 Dodge Viper RT/10 in EXCELLENT condition. Clear Title and NO Accidents. This 1999 is the 1/2 year model equipped with lumpy cam and forged pistons and is completely stock. Complete fluid change, including A/C recharge, less than 100 miles ago. Professionally detailed, including engine bay...
I used to pay over $1,000 per year on my Viper while living in CT (Southbury). I also had to pay about $300 on my Harley. It's the same rate as real estate.
I moved to Dallas TX last year - so my annual vehicle tax is now zero. I think you have a good case to reduce the appriased value.
I had my first time out since November too last weekend when it hit low 70's. Blew the carbon out and it felt good. Haven't had my Harley out since October but it too fired right up last weekend. Winters are too long in CT. but I've got the problem solved as I'm moving the family to Dallas in...
I just had an Interstate installed yesterday. Fortunately, it went dead while the car was in my garage. I only got two years out of the stock Mopar. I don't use a battery tender over winter so I guess I can't complain. Mopar was $160 installed, Interstate was $150 and is probably a better...
My early series of cars (that I wish I still owned) included:
1965 Corvair Corsa convertible w/4 carbs
1967 Cutlass Supreme convertible 4 bbl carb w/Hurst 4-speed
1969 Corvette convertible 350/350 LT-1
Then I got married, so from this point on it was family sedans and station wagons for awhile...
I just bought 4 tires from Tire Rack for my '99 and need find a good local installer. Any of you CT guys/gals have a recommendation in the vicinity of I84 (Waterbury, Danbury or Newtown). I would drive the 40 miles to see The Wizzard but Chuck doesn't install. I think the key is finding an...
If you prefer a "reasonable" B&B out in the country over an "expensive" city hotel, check out the choices here in CT. From where I live in CT, I'm 40 minutes by car from Tators and a one hour express train ride to Grand Central Station.
You can easily tour the city by day and return to...
Re: NEED HELP! Husband won\'t let me drive our Viper, I can\'t reach the peda
My wife is also 5'0" but we have the Gen II w/adjustable pedals and she has no difficulty driving it. My problem is squeezing in after she has driven it as I'm 6'0". Hope you find a solution - it's an amazing car to...
I thought the new coupe might temp me enough to move up from my '99 RT. So far, I'm not impressed. I'll divert to some other form of "stress relief" A second Harley for the wife so we can do some riding together is looking good!
Re: Why doesn\'t everyone have a SC I don\'t think it\'s the money?
I'm quite happy with a "bone stock" 450 HP Viper. That's not to say I wouldn't eventually add a SC. But, for now, I'm quite happy to spend the money saved on mods on other forms of "stress relief". Just bought a 2005 Softail...
Happiness is having a Viper and a Harley (and understanding wife)too. Just bought a 2005 Softail Deuce today and put 75 break-in miles on it. Now the tough part is choosing which to drive to work on sunny days.
Just like in the new GM commercial - I encountered four kids coming out of McDonald's. Jaws drop and they all said in unison "holy sh.t". Priceless........
Here you go - official Mopar cover. Seller also lists same cover for GTS. I've used this for several years and it fits perfectly. Price is good - I paid $225 from Dodge dealer.

For those of you who live in a warm climate, enjoy the rest of your driving season. For those of us in the Northeast, our season appears to be over with + 18 inches of snow.
You're not far from Chuck Tator in South Salem, NY. I wouldn't take it anywhere else. You will not be disappointed in the service provided by the "Wizard".
I must be taking it too easy or CT police have better things to do. Haven't been pulled over once since ownership.
Annual personal property tax on Viper here in CT ... over $1,000. Plate renewal is not as outrageous but still high - but I've got 4 cars and 1 motorcycle to cover. I don't even get kissed when I write those checks.
Chris:
The rear clips are adjustable. I found this to be a two person job but after removing the hardtop, you'll find that the rear clip travel can be adjusted with a screwdriver. You need to shorten it slightly so that there is more downforce. This should eliminate the rattle.
