NY/CT Region Hawaiian Tropic Night in Times Square - 9/20

Sorry guys.... I was looking forward to meeting everyone tonight. After leaving what I thought was adequate time to make it into midtown from my house I didn't actually get to the "zone" till 7:00pm. There didn't seem to be any available parking in front (plus there really didn't seem to be too...

You do realize that there are a number of different opinions on the shelf life of oil. Not sure I would want it sitting around for 5 years in my garage before I use it.

    NJ VCA Pocono Track Day

Hi! I have a couple of questions about this event. 1. Reading through the flyer, does one really need to pay $50 for an instructor? 2. How many 20 minute sessions does one usually get in a day? I guess I'm looking for a comparison between a VCA track event and a PDA track event which costs...

Only 75 out of 200 RSVPs showed up at Tator's. (Photos)

Re: Only 75 out of 200 RSVPs showed up at Tator\'s. (Photos) "Don't ask me right now if there will be a BBQ for next year " The solution is simple. The event has gotten big enough that you should charge people to recoup your costs. Have people mail in a check for $20 or so. Part of the money...

    NJ - Exhaust Installation recomendation

I'm curious as to why you thought the tech at Warnock was amazing? I thought he was the worst and will never go there again. Why not try to install the Corsa yourself? It's fairly simple and there's a HOW TO document on this website. Then take it to someone to have them weld the high flow cats...

    Tire Balancing Question

I recently picked up a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport tires for the front of my '97 GTS through TireRack. Based on information I've read in this forum previously, I took my tires to a shop and had them balanced on a Hunter GSP9700. When I went to install the tires on the car, I noticed that the...

What is really covered in the Chrylser Extended Warranty?

I was curious if anyone had a write-up of what is really covered in the Chrysler Extended Warranty handy. I have the extended warranty and my car is currently in for service. Some items that I thought should be covered under the extended warranty are: 1. The rear latch (striker) unglued and...

Returning from VOI 7 and speeding ticket in VA

I also received a speeding ticket on this same stretch of road heading back to NJ. Nailed for 80 in a 65. Seems this user fee will cost me $5 for every mile over the limit plus the tradional $47 fee to process my ticket. It's interesting how the government can get away with charging a fee on top...

    Tire & Brake Question

This must have happened to most of you

I wouldn't be so quick to rank on the imports. Many of them are quite fast. Last night I lined up against a VW GTI which ran an 11.8. Plain and simple, he smoked me. They only thing in my defense is that he had on sticky tires. But, that really isn't any sort of consolation.
