It's great to see you on the track-that's what these cars were made for. That right hander feeding onto the main straight is the turn you want to get right at Summit Point. If you get to the point you are on track with other cars this is where you will need to be carrying speed...
Was in a gas station this week in the Viper. Also present was newer Corvette. Three guys came over to talk about the Viper. Everybody ignored the 'Vette.
BTW, one of the three was the "Vette owner.
Hmmmm.
I just installed an Optima Red Top in my 2000 GTS. It was a tight fit, but it went in okay. The top negative post comes close to the frame, so I kept the plastic cap on it. There was plenty of clearance on the top positive post.
I think the fit problems has to do with each car's install of...
And I ordered one also. I noticed a county cop giving the front of my car the eye while I was sitting in a restaurant. I think if I had been in the car I would have gotten the opportunity to explain why I had no front license plate.
WETSU We Eat This S##t Up From my submarining days. Typical reply from two Machinist Mates hanging upside down in a bilge trying to find the part they dropped when asked "How's it going?"
Re: Driver\'s Door Won\'t Latch
Got everything fixed today by installing a new Optima battery. Door latches just fine.
BTW, the instructions for a battery changeout on the website were very helpful. I did not have to modify the battery tray or trim the ground post on the new battery to get...
Re: Driver\'s Door Won\'t Latch
It's the battery. Finally tracked it down yesterday. The battery is not dead, but it's just weak enough to create a problem with the door latch.
Re: Driver\'s Door Won\'t Latch
Well I don't have a dead battery (engine starts fine) so we can rule that out. And the passenger door latches just fine.
It must be some sort of computer glitch. If I sit in the driver's seat and close the door with the inside door latch manually held open...
Driver\'s Door Won\'t Latch
The driver's door on the 2000 GTS won't latch. Have fiddled with locking and unlocking. Also tried igniton on and off, but that didn't help. You can slam it to your heart's content but it just sits there, slightly ajar.
Any ideas?

Do any of you racers know whereI can find a headset that can handle two radios? I want to be able to listen to a different radio in each ear and have a push to talk micrphone for one of the radios.
i've been doing some internet research and havn't come up with anything.
We all like to brag about our skills as drivers of high performance cars, something akin to a bunch of fighter pilots getting together. Recently, a number of us were giving a racing buddy hell over a bonehead mistake he made on the track. He finally had enough and challenged all present to...

Let me amplify why I suggest more track time (even though I know it's seen as the cure-all to all problems.) Batboy's basic problem was Power Induced Oversteer, otherwise known as the ass end gets away from you.
Now let's take a corner at a well used track-I'll pick Moss Corner...
Concur. Even more track time. This is where you learn to get your eyes down the road which makes everything slow down. With some more track time, when you get it a little sideways you'll feel it coming on earlier and you will be confident in your ability to recover.
Saves wear and tear on...

You are way over the top with your comments about "d**d" cops and your coldness towards a cop who has been shot. Yes, you had a run in with a bad cop but that in no way justifies your comments.
I have relatives who are county sheriff's, a secret service agent and an FBI agent. Do you...
Hi Toby
Just looked at the racing calendar and I can do this so count me in. Are you going to coordinate a hotel so we can all stay at one place near the party? I don't like the idea of driving back to Cincy late at night.

Some of us get it. In fact, the Today show did a profile on cornhole this past Thursday. (No, it was not filmed in a prison.)
The Bengals logo bags would be a big hit at our tailgate parties before the home games.
And, you're right. You should never mention cornhole to anyone...
In our race cars we always coat the threads of the spark plugs with anti sieze compound to make it easier to remove them and avoid any kind of binding. Also, we have the plugs in and out at least once a day, sometimes more. Is this something you would do with a Viper or is the time between...
