Looking for race seat advice

Has anyone run into Water Based Paints being used yet?
My 2001 BMW ///M Roadster had water based paint. The nose got chipped up so badly, so quickly, that I brought it up as a service issue. Both the dealership and the BMW forums recognized that the water based paint that BMW was using chipped very easily. My 2001 GTS has FAR better paint.- CO GTS

Need Recomendations for a Radar/Laser Detector
You learn a V1. It's like a well used tool; you can hear it "speak to you"....there is a cop up there. False it may, more than some perhaps, but I would feel naked without it. None compare IMO.- CO GTS

Racing seats, which ones?
I put in a set of MOMO RS2's and Sabelt 5pt harnesses. I had to make plates to mount them directly to the floor as far back as they would go. Are Gen 1 and Gen 2 center consoles the same?
Thanks Tom for taking the time to look it up. I am getting ready to try and cover some of my interior parts in red leather and found cheap a gen 1 "arm" console to practice on. But before I buy it I just wanted to make sure it would fit my '01 GTS. Someone out there must know for sure???- CO GTS
