I disagree based on what my car did...base line was 545 rwhp...with the Mopar controler and headers...using stock muffers..we made 618 rwhp on 91 and 638 with 100 octane...the control wont do a damn thing with less than 93 so the gain from 545 to 618 was ALL HEADERS...this was all done and...
My dad was in manufacturing...he would have the first prototype made and it cost $100K....then each after was $400 to produce...if he sold 50K of them then the cost of tooling and design was spread over a lot of units...with a Viper...how many do you really will be sold the first year of...
to your “partners” Trackaire and CCBRian before you enlisted them to post their slanderous, derogatory and defamatory comments on your behalf in this thread?
Steve, really????
It was posted by someone that he has been getting calls from buyers thinking they have originals and are having issues. He has been helping these people out even though they bought Chinese knock offs from a vendor that has no support-that is a class act helping when he doesn't have to. There are...
I think the issue is selling a trademarked product as an original...making a knock off really isn't the issue as long as there are not patent issues...selling them as originals is-which apparently is the case here.
I have a little inside info on what Toddy's people are working on...if I were in the market for one I would hold off until you see what they are doing...
I have always run them @ 200 miles of break-in, changed the oil, then go. A little looser that way and they always make more power...never had one fail yet...even my CC only had a couple hours on the dyno then raced ever since...@ 80 race hours and zero problems.
Neither one sounds like that (higher pitch). On my Gen 4 the sound is different than that of my Comp Coupe with Belangers-different motors I guess. Georges car with the ACR-X headers sounds like my Comp Coupe does...which is pretty loud and bad ass...not high pitched.
I believe the ACR-X header is louder. George (Track-aire) on here has them and it is louder than my ACR with Belanger's...I have heard them side by side. Both great headers...but ACR-X is cheaper and very well built too. I probably would have gone that route but I have a 08 and when they came...
I installed both of my lifts...2 and 4 post. You need at least two people and if you are bolting it to a garage floor-you need to rent a drill to go into the cement and basic hand tools. About a 4-5 hour job the first time for both...really not that tough. Brian
Randell Stowe at Folsom Lake Dodge is a great Viper tech...I trust him with my Vipers and has helped crew on my CC.He has been a factory trained Viper tech since I think 1994.
In our region (NorPac), you can run a Comp Coupe in STO (with inlet restrictors)- is that true out that way? We can also run GT-1 on slicks and without the restrictor.
