Be sure to use the same dyno for a real comparison.
Let me know when you are ready to do your car. I'll stop by and help.
I'd like to see what it is like to wrench on one of these cars.:D
You make me wonder If I am right. This is the number the Carlilse announcer said on the loudspeaker just before the drawing Saterday evening. Next year I shoud count them myself.:dunno: Sorry if I am incorrect.:crazy2:
It is 2,290 cars.
"The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals is a Mopar-lover’s...
While the engine is cold run water from the garden hose on the top of the center of the plenum (intake) to the top of the engine. (Of course not inside the engine) This will dilute the antifreeze and wash it out. If you wish you could dump a bucket of soapy watter in there too. After that run...
Great idea with the dark wire mesh. I'll do that after the show. Thank you for the great idea. :headbang:
There is nothing under that part of the cowl to be concerned with washing or getting wet. All wires are sealed pretty good and if you plug wires are effected by the water than they will...
It does already make a difference. Just remove yours and run the car to see how much of a difference it makes. I can see the heat coming out when I am sitting at a red light. The engine cools down quicker too after I shut it off. Also remember I put a hole in my speaker cover and that realy has...
After being ribbed about how bad my car looked with the plastic cowl removed. I finally vented it. Here you go Carmen, now it will look good for the Chrysler car show in Carlisle. I did this for you Carmen! I'll make you proud of the locals!
BTW, outputing 618 HP and working with the latest...
I would be interested in this hood but I also see changes I would like. The biggest problem with my car is getting rid of the heat. I would love to see the scoop much larger to catch more air and I also would love to see the hood one inch larger and with a cowl-induction opening at the rear like...
What a great event. I really enjoyed myself. We got a really great group of Viper owners here. Thankfully the rain did not come and the sun did not come out till the end of the event. Here is the link to my pictures. Again, what a great bunch of people! Thank you

A local gave me directions. I hope I can folow them.
take 81north to 309 south.... outside of tamaqua on 309 south you will drive a couple of miles untill you see 443 you will turn left onto 443 stay on that road untill you get into lehighton (will be a couple of miles)...... once you get into...
This is all good stuff and the detail here is great. So when we put the Paxton setup on these cars we need to swap out the crank shaft pulley. As it is smaller it tends to spin the alternator pulley slower. Hence a smaller alternator pulley would make up for the difference in diameter in...
I don't have the answer but I just bought a new volt/ohm meter from harbor freight which has a db sound level tester. I only paid $35 for this meter and the db tester works great. It would be a good idea for you to check your own level of sound.
Power / HP, Whatever. It was a cool study. I was more after what is robbing electrical juice. Especially at idol. When I turn on everything and come to a stop my car idol really goes way down and it seams like it may stall. But it never does. With everything turned off it does not do that...
This is kinda what got me started. I saw a post where someone said their car had less drain when it was locked. Of course I had to prove this to myself. As you see the numbers don't lie.:dunno:
This may answer some questions on what draws power from the battery and how much. I was supprised. I know from now on when I race someone I am turning everything off so my altermator does not steal any of my power. This blows my mind!
I could not do the test...
I got another test I ould like to have a few of you try. Is this post goes I found a bad alternator pulley. After I filed down the points of the pulley my belt fit into the groves real good. Once the alternator was back on the can and everything was back together I did a test. I put a socket on...
After typing that last post I began to think about the serpentine belts I replaced. I always replaced them with the Mopar replacement ones. They look just like the gator back belts. I'll need to look into this. I just may change out my belt again with another brand. This is not an easy task when...
I bet this is more common than we realize. I read other post of people replacing their alternator and the problem was fixed. My pulley was the stock pulley. I also replaced the tensioner at one point. I have been chasing this problem for 4 years. Even went thru 3 batteries and 2 serpentine...
PROBLEM FIXED!
It turned out to be the alternator pulley.
The belt was hitting on the peaks of the pulley and not allowing the belt to fit down into the groves. This was pointed out to me by the technician at the alternator shop. There was glazing on the peaks and the rest of the pulley...
