This is a "place your constructive criticism here" thread. Hopefully, this will amount to fruitful discussion of practical steps SRT can take to improve our Beloved snake's performance, comfort, drivability, etc.
1st of all: We all know Gen IV and V vipers have locked ECUs. we've heard that...
found this article on allpar describing a particular design study for the Gen V that was scrapped because of risk and cost...
According to this plan, the new Viper and its ALMS counterpart would have been developed side-by-side and the Gen V may have come with a KERS...
From What I can gather from Allpar and WI SRTs, chrysler's big engine lineup will look like this:
5.7L:400 HP
6.4L:500HP
6.2L(Hellcat):650 to 700HP
As far as the Viper engine, WISRTs member craigd says,"High notes V-10 is working on their upgrades..."
No word on what kinds of upgrades it...
In this video, SRT discusses the process that goes into making the Stryker Red color.
Apparently the process takes 8 hours to complete.

Was watching a video posted by SRT on the Viper facebook page... Said the GTS-R produced about 1500 lbs of downforce, the same amount of downforce Ralph Gilles said the upcoming ACR would have. We may have the ACR right in front of our eyes, gentlemen.

Anybody else recognize these seats, currently being used in the Jeep "stitch" concept?
btw, can't get the pic to work, just posting the link
New article on the drivesrt site. shows side-by side pics of the GTS and GTS-R, along with a detailed discussion of the styling and engineering that went into the ALMS version of our beloved snake...
Maybe just hearsay, but Allpar member JRS200x suggests that SRT is working on a supercharged version of the Viper V-10. It would jive well with Ralph's comments on the forged internals, and a good way to make ridiculous power from the current engine.
Somebody just posted this link on Allpar. One thing I didn't know is you can attach a hose from the front cooling duct to the front brakes for better cooling on track days.

Btw, no new information in this article, just wanted to share the news.
Great article which delves deeper into the thermoplastics of the Gen V and why they were so innovative.

Title says it all, here's a link to the press release:

Seems like the guys at Jalopnik were looking at the Viper with a Jeweler's loop on and found some low-key etchings of a couple racetracks in various places around the car. One happens to be Nurburgring and the other is Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca.
A link to the article...
Using free online image editing software, I brightened the teaser and made a blue and green version.
If anybody wants to post pictures of their vipers out in this nice weather, you should do that as well.

picture is in the background. doesn't show much, and i don't think this is the teaser they're talking about, unless they're gonna remove the big sign blocking the car..
Don't know if this is true or sloppy journalism (referring to the GT series cars) but GTS appears to be a model name for the new serpent.

On the Viper rumor roundup page, there is a new rendering (in silver).Below it are a few paragraphs as to why the rendering is the way it is. Don't suspect it looks too much like the Gen V, but it's closer than his previous renderinngs from what I've seen from the spy shots and heard from those...
From Allpar:
"The Dodge Viper has been seen several times in testing, easily recognizable even when wrapped up in camouflage. Allpar has just been told that it would be powered by an 8.7 liter version of the V-10 engine, which displaced 8.4 liters in 2010. At around 531 cubic inches, it would...
