There might be an influence on the K&N problem.
@mjorgensen:
As far as you can value after seeing the photos: Is my old PCM an original Mopar Race ECU or just a standard PCM?

I got further details and understand now the difference of the 2 management modules:
- the PCM which has been installed by Roanoke 2009 looks similar to a standard unit labeled like a Mopar PCM. When the Dodge dealer checks the PCM today with his analyzer by OBD2 they get the version number...
The photo shows the label of my old PCM from Roanoke and underneath the white label is a code ...AA... instead of ...AB...
I hope to get the code tomorrow.

@ViperGTS:
As far as I know your Gen4 you don´t have the K&N Typhoon kit and full Belangers installed. Mine had no problems...
The new Mopar PCM is coded ...AB... instead of ...AA... and everything works fine. A 2010 version.
There has to be enough air flow above 150mph to feed the K&N's. Otherwise the newer PCM would result in the same fault code.
???
My Gen4 got service and a K&N Typhoon kit this week. Full Belanger and Mopar PCM have been installed by Roanoke on car delivery in 2009.
I did a 100mls testdrive when picking up the car. Excellent/better throttle response above 4,500revs
On the way back home at Saturday night I drove...
pls update: How did they manage to take them out?

They took his drivers license for making a mistake?
I'm afraid of visiting Switzerland for the upcoming Viper season.

I never had maintenance issues on ESC or pedals by wire even stearing power by wire or ABS.
What I like are the progressive - non linear - sport or track modes:
- harder stearing, shorter stearing angle
- feel and keep the rear end coming without loosing control
- direct & progressive...
Wait for 2012 Viper...don't buy now
Whenever you don't want the nannies (ESC) just turn them off
My experience is: Sport or track mode is lots of fun (Gallardo, Vette, Audi...)

Y, you are right, I've been in contact with Alex by phone and met Oleg in Rancho Cordova while on vacation for NYE with my wife at SFO.
Before I finally wraped-up for deciding to buy or not I offered Oleg 28k - he refused :2tu:. Back in the hotel checking the pics, analysing the crash my...
that's why the viper specialist supporting me assumed the frame might be "parallelogramed" = pushed back on the passenger side and came forward at the drivers side.

I was talking about a ripoff because I asked Oleg what happened at the rear fender and he told me that must have been a minor accident on the auction last week.
The fender needs just to be bend down and nothing more than the front ends of the frame were hit.
That's not the full story...
I inspected the car last friday and decided not to buy :nono:
Oleg is a nice guy. He really knows how to sell cars :D
The newest ebay add shows much more cosmetics than the first.
It looks like there is a damage on the frame on the passenger side from the front until the rear and on the drivers...
I do a frequent follow up of the ebay offers finding a deal in a GenIV.
Sorry for :rolaugh: reading adds with phrases like:
"Hard to find"
"Hurry to get one"
"Rare"
"very limited"
with prices 30-40k above the market.
Do those dealers know what's going on these days?
It might be hard...
We had an excellent driving & handling event last weekend here in Germany. The Viperclub Germany e.V invited Viper owners to learn more about driving their Viper. Instructors from AMG (Mercedes) did a good job showing us what is possible, where is the limit and what to do if you are beyond...
Yesterday I picked up my 05'Commemorative from wintering at a Viper-shop and did the first 250mls for this year.
I got some mod's:
Hi-flow race cats, Borla cat back without X-pipes, K&N, urethan bushings, service and a SCT hi octane tune from RoeRacing.
The performance is better and the snake...
