Thought about it for matching numbers, but I'm never going to sell the car. That would affect the value but it doesn't matter to me.
I have the cam, but it had some wear. I would replace it on the rebuild.
I have an extra engine that I could sell. It is from my 96 GTS.
Why? - It is the original engine with the car, and it got low compression in one cylinder (80psi or so, other 9 normal compression) so I replaced it with a built motor. The motor was still running upon disassembly, it was NOT...
Thanks for the pic Dean. I checked out the hosetraining.com site and there is good info there too.
I have decided to eliminate one connection to decrease failure points. The length from the tee before the fuel rails to the quick connect to the hard line is about three feet. I will get...
Good advice. A tiny bit of rubber seems to have pulled away from the inside of the hose when it ripped off. That rubber could go downstream to the fuel injectors, don't want that! :(
Thanks for the advice. I may use the quick fix to get me rolling JUST for the weekend using a new hose and...
Good eye. Both sides. Probably no performance difference. I'm not running it currently because I didn't like how the line got pulled dry because they see vacuum. I'm going to install it again with a more solid system including solenoids, flow gauge and all that fun stuff.
Thanks for the advice. I'll get more familiar with this as this is a critical connection. The main fuel connection right above the headers - I'm happy for everyone's help so I can get this fixed correctly.
Stock is fine and dandy here @ 5psi. 6th is fine for me @ 60mph and above, 70 and above with old motor. Maybe the 10psi puts more drag on the engine and has more trouble with 6th gear, but I'd imagine the boost at any RPM would make up for that.
My fuel line separated at the connection two feet before the tee into the fuel rails. This happened when I went key on, and didn't crank the car because I heard fuel dripping on the ground. When I pulled on the rear fuel line it wasn't attached at all! :omg:
Any idea why this would happen...
No wiring required. I did cut a small bit from the rubber behind for running the wires out. Good luck beaming the fogs, mine didn't cooperate much.
The low beams are easier b/c I got small ballasts and they fit inside the headlight housing - no modifications required!
That 1st HDR in front of Rick's is SICK! Nice single car HDRs later in front of the bridge too.
For the 1st pics are those all post processing or did you paint the car with light?
I imagine FDs to be fun to drive b/c they'd prob feel really fast when boost comes on.
Wanted:
1. Gen 2 factory (Mopar) front brake rotors. Unused preferred, used OK if in usable condition with at least 50% life remaining.
2. Exhaust manifold heat shields.
Let me know if you have a line on these parts. Thanks! :drive:
Following this thread!
I have a coolant leak on a 96 GTS with a Ron Davis radiator. The leak developed after swapping engines. Dripping down from the driver side bumper. I do not see a level in reservoir in the bumper (also hard to see, could be a level), and it is now dropping in the...
Hmmm, doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Then again, I don't know how the control on the IAC motor and PCM function together. Just wanted to check out this thread because I am having worse idle hang after swapping in a different engine. I'll clear out the PCM tonight and work from there.
What about the date codes on these tires? I was puzzled by them on my Invos. Your photo reads "D261807". This doesn't fit the normal convention of Week/Year. It could possibly be Day/Week/Year, but that's just a guess. Anyone KNOW how it works? I don't think it's Day/Week/Year because two of my...
I have EBC Reds on my GTS and have never heard a peep from them. Has anyone sprayed the disc brake quiet on the back of pads? I did and that seems to make all the difference.
Looks good. Could look better with stripes. I remember seeing a matte black GTS that had gloss black stripes. WOW! That looked mean. That would be nabbing their look, some maybe something a bit different. Tint to match the rest of the theme may look nice to ya too.
Too bad you can't design...
They're great. Fixed my problem shifting into 3rd when running through the gears. Vibration was great upon install, decreased after the 1st 50 miles or so. Still more pronounced than stock :)
