The Lightweight hatches are done! Save 60+ LBS for the track!

Thanks for posting the pics Steve. The mounts were just something we made up quick and easy to get us on the track that weekend. All in I would say we had maybe 6- 8 hours total to remove the stock units and mount the new CF pieces. MB

Not and issue its strong. We run 162 mph up the back straight so the DF has got to be high at that point. There is no signs of stress or issues in any way. MB

The Lightweight hatches are done! Save 60+ LBS for the track!

Would like to give a big thanks to Steve, we just ran our fastest track times ever after putting the CF hood, rear deck and lexan on our ACRX. All the parts fit well, and were easy to pin into place. For anyone doing the hood ( on a race car) I would suggest putting an extra set of pins along...

    installing front and rear lexan

I purchased both front and rear lexan windows as well as the carbon fiber rear hatch for our ACRX. I purchased from Steve and was wondering if anyone has install pics or suggestions on how to best install the lexan. I have some race specs to follow from our CASC -OR series ( Canadian series)...

Keep the ACR or buy a ACR X

I would say this is exactly what is happening. The brakes are right back to working well likely as soon as there is enough vacuum to operate. Thanks for the heads up. MB

Keep the ACR or buy a ACR X

Well all the best...... the in car camera and data is really cool. I just used mine for the first time at VIR. After looking this over it helps you see where there is still lots of opportunity to improve ( for me at least) . MB

Keep the ACR or buy a ACR X

No worries guys ..... I have been reading the brake issues here as I too had this ( or something similar) happen when at VIR . About three times over the entire weekend where I would be coming down the front straight heading into T1 I would hit the brakes hard and everything was great then the...

Keep the ACR or buy a ACR X

Right on ..... I bet once you get the wing on your car will not have the high speed twitch. Im new to VIR but I would say the 2:14 is a great time. Isnt the track a blast? Do you know what sort of times the other Vipers were able to run? MB

Keep the ACR or buy a ACR X

A long ways from 6' 2" im afraid .... Im 5' 10" and do fit the car very well. The previous owner must have been very close to my size as I hopped in the car and everything felt right at home for me so nothing was adjusted. MB

Keep the ACR or buy a ACR X

So the X was killer at VIR. Having never been at this track ( any track other than Mosport for that matter) and in a new car my starting lap times were in the 2:14 range on the first couple sessions. There was a fair bit of slower traffic on the track so this didn't help at all for sure. I did...

    ACR-X Brakes

Nice build. I can tell you the X brakes are killer. I have a 09 acr and a 10 ACRX. Just came back from the weekend at VIR and could not fathom the brakes on the X. Running down the front straight and hitting those brakes before turn 1 was a thrill every time. Im sure you will find the same...

    for the VIR guys

Thanks Boxer12. I will be on the full course ... 2 min sounds fast but I guess it gives me something to shoot for. I received the car with a set of used Michelin slicks on it so was planning on running these for the first day. Im bringing a new set of Michelins as well that I was planning on...
