Any recommendations on what anti-freeze to use.

I'm using the Peak Lifetime and get it at NAPA but they aren't keeping it on their shelves so they have to have it sent to them from their warehouse.

Best fuel filter replacement now that OEM is discontinued?

Hey Jack, if the local NAPA guy is correct NAPA now has them in their Columbus warehouse and there will be one in my local store this afternoon.

Bigger injectors with heads and cam?

I did a heads/cam project on my 01 and talked with The Wizard throughout the project. When it was time to make an injector decision Chuck said no question about it; send the original injectors to Tony Armour at Armour Racing. Now the injectors look like new, work like new, are marked for...

    Fuel Requirement for Head/Cam Mod

When I did my heads/cam build this spring, I talked with Chuck Tator about the injectors and he recommended sending them to Tony Armour at Armour Racing for cleaning and bench testing. Now the injectors look like new, work like new, are marked for specific cylinders, and the turnaround time was...

Getting a GTS to Gen IV Power

Don't know what a stock Gen IV puts down but with my heads reworked by Bischoff Racing Engines, a 708 cam, slow bleed lifters, 1.7 Harland Sharp RR, and a SCT tune by Pickups Plus Cars my 2001 has 550 RWHP which would be about 640 at the crank. I'm running the factory exhaust manifolds, HF...

Another Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer Slip Instance

I had the hood off but didn't remove the fan or radiator. I think I remember reading that someone did it with the hood on but hood off made it easy to reach.

Another Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer Slip Instance

I used the Roe kit and was very impressed with the quality and how easy it was to do the job. I drilled the holes most of the way through the dampner while it was off the crank and then finished drilling the dampner and into the crank with an angle drill. The rubber in my dampner still looked...

Noob Question about the hood "speaker grilles" hahah ---

Right. The passenger side grill is where the air that is heated or cooled enters the blower and the one on the driver's side makes the hood look balanced.

Thanks for the invite Jack B! Two days after I brought the Viper home from the tune I had to leave and I'm working a contract in Texas that will keep me until mid-August. What dates in August are you going to be there?

Incredible results from Heads & Cam build in Ohio

He port matched and took quite a bit out of the ports, bowl polished wich included blending in the guides, and milled the heads to raise compression. I need to give him a call because I'm curious about the flow numbers too.

Incredible results from Heads & Cam build in Ohio

I had a great experience with my 2001 GTS and want to let others in Ohio know about 2 tremendous vendors (I don’t think I’m allowed to post a link to the vendors but happy to respond to PMs) and the super help I received from Chuck Tator at Tator’s Garage. I had decided to install the 708 cam...

    Viper Sighting in Grantville PA

Yup, you're right....it's not a good stance. For some reason, when I purchased the Viper, it had eibach lowering (progressive) springs on the rear and OEM springs (non-progressive) on the front. Bad idea, I know.......time for a full set of eibachs from JonB. I'll have to work harder at it...

Could have been me coming through. Mine has side exit exhaust, CCW wheels, and could qualify as menacing.
