.. not a certifried mekanic, not an expert... but, mileage? recent oil change? any recent thumps/bumps... ?? recommend NO driving, experimenting may result in damaged bearings, etc Dripping source must be located, the pan that covers the vehicles bottom may need to be partially removed as...

sooo... if 500 HP is not enough...

I have had the lil beast (2005 21,000 miles convertible) a few weeks now, and am enjoying the driveability of this car, and it feels like a luxury car after the 94. But, lets say I wanted to bump it up to say about 640-650 ponies... It is 11 years old, looks new.. and I want to keep its...

    Cooling Fan

how it went.... Popped (screws thru fascia) the bottom front cover loose from the fascia, picked up a pair of 'push pin' removal pliers from Napa, drained a few gallons out of the radiator (plastic petcock), removed the top radiator hose, and disconnected an aluminum cooler attached to the...

    Cooling Fan

I noted the vibration, checked on replacing the fan only.. ordered the entire hydraulic unit from JonB... I researched it as much as I could, blade not available separate.. and appears to be not strong enough to r/r the fan alone... but.. soon I will have an extra assembly to do my R & D on! I...

    issues with my viper

... if there is no recourse, then hopefully you can get it fixed.. and be back rolling. I have had some expensive lessons, and when all was said and done, I learned.. moved on.. if the shop was responsible, they should make good or suffer the name that goes with shoddy work.. best wishes

    issues with my viper

Talon has a point, I took my car to get an oil change, spec'd mobil synthetic 0-40 and loitered... they pulled out some other weight, and the oil change guy (not calling him a tech) stated it was not a problem! They did it all the time.. I say Nay Nay, you bcan 'do it all the time' on YOUR car...

    Cooling Fan

I noted a vibration, located the source, a chipped cooling system fan, unbalanced and shaking the shroud area. I was on a day trip, made it home keeping good air flow over the radiator and now am looking for 'just the fan'.. It looks like a hydraulic unit, and I was curious as to whether anyone...

    2005 with 20,000 miles

Great answer Steve, new tires made the difference.. Prior to new tires it was like fighting another entity with a mind to put me in the ditch or in another lane.. After new Michelin tires the car doesn't hunt.. Is a joy to drive..

    My 6 figure car

Back to the OP, in the 70's, I used to drive to work in Seattle, there was this old codger who had a late 50's or early 60's black vet that was his Daily Driver. I always thought he looked so cool in that old black vet with add on chrome tear drop mirrors, a couple of bumper stickers, paint...

    2005 with 20,000 miles

My wife and I picked up a 2005 Convertible, nice inside and out, everything checked out on Autocheck, highest score we noted. We off loaded it today, and it 'hunts' severely on these east texas roads. I do not recall my 1994 being so 'tricky'. On the interstate it was smooth, mild hunting in...

    member again, 2nd Viper..

I had sold my 94 in 2001 I believe, and yesterday bought a 2005 Red Convertible with my sweetheart.. we trailered it back, off loaded it.. and took it for a spin after 16 hours on the road... I had forgotten how much the beast hated road ruts, and loved the smooth interstate! My wife NOW...
