Also agreed based on your post "I need air cond. hard top and windows" though you can get a Gen 1 with AC, and hard top... windows will always be soft and slide in. I had a 95 and loved the car, was depressed after selling and months later had to get another, went Gen 2 for the same reasons and...
Congrats on the purchase... yeah with the u-haul trailers you either have to back them on with some boards or remove the front stop plates on the trailer, hope it's not too bad... enjoy the new ride
Nice car by the pics and description, not too overpriced and one owner a bonus...
Nice car by the pics and description, not too overpriced at all especially being a "one owner" car in my opinion, hopefully the dealer doesn't have big "fees" to add... I think a nice find. I personally wouldn't...
Welcome again, beautiful Viper and congrats... best looking vehicle ever designed in my opinion, if it never existed and was released today it would be huge
Sorry it's actually "search tempest" just type in what your looking for, the category and distance... You will have to go through some posts having nothing to do what your looking for as people put anything in their posts for "key words"
Gen 2 wheels are pretty easy to find and the 18s a little easier to get tires, a few sets on CL tempest search as well, was a nice polished set in Cal if memory serves for about $950
Also try doing a "tempest search" for craigslist... It will search all cities on CL, there are quite a few Vipers for sale, check out the red 97 GTS in Houston with 21k miles asking $45k
Just my two cents and nothing more but I think there is much better deals out there... especially with a 65k mile car... unless there is something special about this car you have to have that's all the money for a high mile car with black sills, again just my opinion
one of my buddies just...
It will never be able to be fully repaired with touch up, the only correct fix would be to repair the scratch by thoroughly sanding and priming the open paint area, the entire hood would need to be prepped by sanding with a fine grit sand paper (1000 grit or finer) or scotchbrite... correct...
Great... Base will always dry more accurate in color as it dries quicker than a single stage in most cases but will then need the clear over it... glad it worked out
Just to chime in as I spent 16 years teaching OEM classes in automotive refinish for an automotive paint manufacturer and still heavily involved in that industry...
It's not uncommon at all for not only variations of colors from the factory with the same paint codes but also auto manufacturers...
That's a tough argument when there is at least a dozen nice Gen 1 Vipers with half the miles... or less for sale all over the country for mid $30s and been for sale for some time now...
but as others said... best of luck
