I took my GTS out for the first time to race at our 1/8h mi track in HOLT, FL to see what it will do. My results...

I am having a heck of a time figuring out how to launch the TURBO Viper. I left at 5000 rpm, I have zero wheel spin with my Mickey Thompson ETs. I ran 12 lbs of air,straight as an arrow, handles great....I have serious Turbo Lag for about the first 40-50 feet and then its hold on cause the pull is AWESOME....I am loosing alot of time out of the hole. What can I do to fix this??? Any suggestions will be appreciated!!
Fot your info there was a new model CORVETTE that showed up with a pit crew, slicks and skinnies and all and parked right next to my VIPER in the pits. I know they were planning on showing up the VIPER. I could tell by their body language and all. SNOBBY and all that. The VETTE was SUPERCHARGED and all kind of extra work done as they were bragging to me about it.
The results were, their BEST time was 7.15, all the rest were in the 7.20s... My times were mostly 6.80s and the last one on a 6.80 dial in, 1st round eliminations, I broke out with the 6.75... The CORVETTE guys were hanging their head all day after my pass. I thought that was funny enough to make my day....
