I purchased this 1999 Dodge Viper GTS new in 1999 and have owned it ever since. After 27 years, I’ve reached the point where it doesn’t make much sense to continue storing a car that I can’t enjoy while living overseas, so I’d like to see it go to another Viper enthusiast who will get it back on the road and enjoy it.

The car is stock Viper Black Clear Coat with factory Silver Metallic dual painted stripes and Black interior. According to the Viper Registry’s 1999 production breakdown, 57 non-ACR cars were produced in this Black/Silver/Black configuration.

It currently shows 19,921 original miles and has a clean Carfax. I also have the original window sticker, original books and two keys.

Performance Modifications

The car isn’t completely stock. During my ownership I had installed a number of period Viper performance upgrades:
  • Belanger 1¾” headers — port-matched D-port equal-length primaries with 3” collectors and flanged header hookups
  • Belanger dual 3” cat-back exhaust
  • RandomTech race catalytic converters
  • Complete 3.55 rear end
  • 3” smooth intake tubes
  • MSD Super Conductor plug wires
The Belanger/RandomTech exhaust combination sounds incredible, and the 3.55 rear makes an already entertaining Gen II considerably more responsive. Prospective buyers are welcome to verify the modifications during their inspection.

Long-Term Storage

I’ve been living and working overseas for a number of years, which is why the car has spent much of that time in secure indoor storage.

The last time I was personally with the car, approximately 10 years ago, I had it transported to a Dodge dealership for general servicing and fluid changes. It was then transported back to storage, where it has remained without being started or driven since.

Rather than have someone throw a battery into it and attempt to start a Viper that has been sitting for approximately 10 years, I’ve deliberately chosen to leave it alone and sell it as-is. I would expect the next owner to have the car properly inspected and recommissioned by a qualified Viper technician before attempting to start or drive it.

The tires had very little use before the car went into storage, but given their age and the amount of time the car has been stationary, they should be replaced. The same goes for the fluids, battery, fuel system and whatever additional inspection/service is appropriate for returning a long-stored Viper to the road.

Importantly, the car was put into storage because I moved overseas, not because of a known mechanical problem.

Included With the Car

  • Original window sticker
  • Original owner’s books
  • Two keys
  • Upgraded floor mats
  • Grey fitted car cover
  • Clean Carfax
  • Additional documentation accumulated during my ownership
The car remains in excellent cosmetic condition and has been with me since the day I purchased it new in 1999. There aren’t many Gen II GTSs left with a continuous, original-owner history stretching back nearly three decades.

I’m not looking to recommission it remotely simply to sell it. I’d rather be transparent about the storage period, price it accordingly, and let the next owner have the recommissioning performed to their standards.

The car is located in New Jersey. Buyer will be responsible for pickup/transportation. Given the length of storage, enclosed transportation is strongly recommended rather than attempting to drive the car away.

Happy to provide additional photographs, documentation, or other related information to serious buyers.

Hello Mr-Ma, please DM me pics, asking price and a copy of the Carfax and anything else you feel is relevant, other than what you already listed.

I have been looking for a clean Gen 2 GTS that is modded and not completely stock. I can continue the process on a DIY basis, which I enjoy.

If it sold already, congrats!

Thank you!
