Sorry it has taken so long for me to write but I've been buying post offices and working hard playing dentist Tues and Thurs so it has taken me a while to write. Hence I hereby apologize for the following:

1. I want to apologize to Bernie Katz for not telling the VCA world how great this guy is. When I sold my 7k mi 96 GTS, I wanted to sell it quick and ideally to a dealer who could wire me funds and not have a gazillion tire kickers beat to death over the deal. I needed funds for a killer post office deal and I needed the funds now. Now listen up. I had appx 10 offers on the car the day I listed it. Bernie was first and Woodhouse was a close second. While everyone was asking questions, which is what I would normally do if I wanted to buy a car, Bernie Katz, not knowing my VIN, not seeing a pic of the car, is frigging getting my wire transfer info and ready to do the deal. The guy is a maniac. In a good way. Give him a deal, and its done. Who is going to buy a car with no pics and no vin? Now obviously he has a record of my posts here and trusted me. He had funds in my account the next day and it was a few days after I received the funds before I had pics and vin, etc. Now some of you guys try to get top dollar for your cars and all the power to you. I came across a killer deal that made sense for me to sell this car reasonably and Bernie Katz more than stepped up. It is only a matter of time before I buy another Viper (Lambo may come next though) and when the time comes I am buying from Bernie. Un f'king believable. You want to buy/sell a car right, contact Bernie Katz. He is unlike any dealer I've ever met and I'll pay more to deal with a guy like Bernie than some private guy in my own backyard as I've never met a guy like him. Thanks again Bernie, we both did very well on our tranactions, I did better than you but I'm sure you did all right also.

BTW, my 96 GTS has been sold by Bernie so I'm assuming Bernie made a profit but he did have to have Gary Almond pick it up and haul it out to Bernie. And Gary Almond, sorry I never met you but my Carribean cruise took precedent to our meeting but dad was very impressed with your expertise.

2. I apologize to the VCA members and rest of America for the upcoming 2 cent increase in postal rates set to start appx 5/07. I tried to have them hold off on this for another year but between what I've done to them and the Iraq situation, Uncle Sam needs the cash so, sorry, but we all have to make a living. Ha!

Seriously, Viperless now, I'll be back in another Viper (another garage queenie) in no time. Take care guys, Gerald Levin

If my 27 year old memory serves me correctly Mr. Levin purchases buildings/facilities and rents them out to the government so they may use them as post offices?

Am I close?

Sounds like taking candy from a baby.

Likely on the nose.... in our town a new post office was built, the square footage was 5 below the max the PO leases, any bigger and the Gov would have had to use the tax payers money effciently :(

Gotta love the gov, at least a Viper enthusiast is getting some of my tax money.... LOL

Gerald no need to apologize and thank you for the note. It's absolutely great we have transformed our shop and I have partnered with a gentleman who is as passionate about Dodge Vipers or shall I say Mopar products as a whole as I am, so we make a good team. We have finished the renovations on the performance shop and your old car is getting a make over we are at it's completion and it was fun to work on your car. The car was purchased by a terrific guy (Dave) who has so much appreciation for the car, it's history and is as excited about the car as you were when we spoke about your car. The car has been transformed and actually is getting a make over.
New Rubber PS2's all the way around
1.7 Roller Rockers
3.55 Gears
K&N Air box
Belanger Headers
Corsa 3" Exhaust
Short Throw Shifter
K&N Air Box
3.55 Gears

We have had fun working with Dave and I am looking forward to other projects which will be completed for Mopar Madness which we are sponsoring at Dinwiddie Motorsports Park April 1, Sunday. We are building a SRT 8 Charger and installing a 426 Stroker Motor hopefully pushing close to 500 horses. Another interesting project will be working with SVS on the new turbo system!!! Anyway your old car is in great hands and we have had lot's of fun making the changes in our new speed shop. Thanks Again and let me know I have lot's of new toys you might be interested in when the time comes. Good Luck with the Post Offices and thanks again for the kind words. You thought you had your hands full with your car, watch out people in Virginia there is a new ride in town and it is pretty wicked.

Bernie and Gary stayed at my home one cold day earlier this year when they delivered Peak Completion's FGT. Bernie is a great guy, very knowledgable and a class act, like Gary. If I were ever to sell my GTS he would certainly get a call!

Hit the nail on the head. Can't say too much as I already have too much competition but 90% of all post offices are owned by guys like me and we lease these to a tenant that tend to pay their bills on time: USPS. I like to buy undervalued post offices where the rent is low, wait for lease termination, and then raise the rent to a more "appropriate" level. If I get greedy, they leave. If I negotiate fairly in relationship to similar post offices in the area, I tend to do very well.

I've owned over 100 of these and lost half of these after divorce #1. (And then that ** goes off and marries a pediatric ear, nose and throat specialist.)There will never be divorce #2, since there will never be wife #2. Never had a post office leave me. That is about all I can say on this.

And in regards to my never ending paragraphs or run-on sentences, I tend to get that way when I'm high and I should be back to normal in the next few weeks.
