Hi Viper Club of Washington!

Here is the information about the upcoming 4th of July Parade in Bothell and BBQ at the Phillips. The weather is going to be great so let's try and show the Vettes that we can get 20 cars this year!!!

We have an earlier position in staging this year so shouldn't have to wait quite as long as in year's past. Don't forget to bring lots of candy as the route is long and we don't want to disappoint anyone.

Quick summary:
8:30 - 10:30 breakfast at firehouse off Beardslee
11 - noon staging and decorating the cars (V-51) for parade
2 pm on family fun at the Phillip's pool party - BRING THE ENTIRE FAMILY and a dish!!!

City News | City Services | City of Bothell

This is a real community parade where the kids and neighbors participate.
Please bring candy to throw to the crowd and decorations for your vehicle(s).
We will be staging at Cascadia Community College Parking lot, we need to be there at or before 11 am.
For those that are hungry or want the kids to have a little extra fun, there will be a pancake breakfast at the firehouse from 8:30 until 10:30 am at the Downtown Firehouse.
After the parade we will briefly pause to remove decorations that might become airborne in route, then cruise to the home of George & Robin Phillips.

It's right next to the Cascadia Community College. :omg:

Last year we met at the fire station and caravaned (not sure if that's an actual english word) over to the staging area.

James, got an address and info for those that want to skip breakfast?

Whether you plan on attending the breakfast or going straight to staging, take the Beardslee exit from to the West from 405, Cascadia College also University of Washington Bothell are on your left, the fire station is about a mile further on the right hand side.

They also have done many things for the kids at the firestation including bike helmets cheap and they even help fit to the child's head. They also allow climbing on and pictures in several firetrucks.

The breakfast much like the event at The Phillip's home, are intended for the entire family so don't feel limited to 2 people just because that is all of the seats in the Viper. Other cars can't participate in the parade (they certainly can watch) but the entire 4th is intended to be a family friendly event!

If I remeber correctly, we have always staged where it says surface parking...there will be people along the road to direct you to where you need to be once you get on 110th. :usa:

Hey Charlie, Bring your spare candy thrower, we may have a ride available and if not it is possible to have two candy throwers in the passenger seat, I know that from personal experience in years past...

Will do, James. And video games for the staging portion.;)

FYI to any rookies - The 5 pounds of candy I brought last year barely made it through the parade. Had to start rationing about two-thirds of the way through. :drive:

From the looks of it, the BBQ seems to be heavily weighted towards desserts. Hope that was intentional.

Re: What happend to the Bothell parade thread?

Why not send the pix to the web site so I can post them there. Does anyone know we have a web site? I may decide that there is no reason to maintain the web site since no one seems to know that we have one.!!!!!!!!!!! Go to our web site and USE IT !!!!!!! VCA Home ...

What's going on with this thread?
Answer:
The 1st thread had George's address in one of the posts, since this is a public forum, I had James call National and remove that post. Through a mix up, National removed the whole tread. After calling National I/we decided to have National restore the original thread minus George's address post and add some of the posts from the latest tread. I hope this clears up any confusion.

PS: How do I put pictures in my post?

Charley- "Safety Yellow" has much more orange in it. This is VIPER RACE YELLOW. The only color in the Viper color pallet to even have the woord RACE in it, so DODGE knew that the YELLOW IS FASTEST!
