I just bought a 94 RT10 that had been sitting for 15 years. Fuel pump was no good. I replaced just the pump, it now cycles but no fuel at the filter. I bought a Bosch replacement pump. It does not seem to seat in the bottom strainer firmly. I measured it and it is the same diameter as the old one. Is there any way to make the pump stay seated in the strainer? Can I buy a new strainer/ lower filter? Am i doing something wrong?

thanks for any help!

Looks like I solved that issue. New pump diameter was smaller than the original and was allowing the pump to move up and down in the strainer.

New issue.....fuel gauge not working. It worked before I took it apart. There seems to be no ohm reading across the sending unit. Is there a replacement available for this? Or is there another vehicle that has the same sending unit I can adapt to fit?

You might be sble to rehab yours. The sending unit was available through Snake-Oyl last time I checked:

There is a thread here where a person also has some for sale.
