I have one and think it's great. You will need to calibrate the psi parameter to match your map sensor and maybe customize some other things but everything you need to know is in the instructions or on their website.

yup. and you don't have to do that recalibration w/ the new version b/c it sets to your MAP sensor... if you have one that it knows about.

good luck!

need me to come up there and install it for you. :)

Bob,

Quick question...does your guage freeze at WOT?

Jo, I haven't had a chance to wire a serial connection directly to the AEM unit.

Mine works perfectly. Is yours freezing up on all parameters or on just psi?
For my connection I used zip ties to secure the cable to the OBD2 port, coiled up the cable and tied it up out of the way and secured the serial end solidly under the dash. I can easily unplug the gauge and plug in the laptop when needed.
JD, It sounds like they have the newer versions more user friendly.

Yeah, its freezing up on all parameters. J. Dell gave me a recommended fix. I am going to try it this week to see what happens.

I got mine from NOPI in smyrna, ga. Call and ask for Chris and tell him you are a viper guy. he'll hook you up. I vaguely recall mine being like 220 or 240...

I just got my serial guage from Horespowerfreaks.com. After following instructions I find out after calling AEM it plugs into the OBDII port. Okay I'll put my car back together. But now I read farther and find out it only works with firmware version 1.19 & newer. Lucky me! I have version 1.1 so I guess it doesn't work. Nice of them not to tell me BEFORE I bought the guage. Now it says you can download 1.9 off AEM site. Okay. But before doing there's all this conversion stuff to do. I'm somewhat computer friendly but this stuff looks mind boggling to me. All this stuff just to hook up a guage. Anyone else have these problems? Any volunteers to come up & get this thing hooked up? Maybe I'll just send it back.

The update from 1.1 to 1.19 is cake. the walk-through document is pretty idiot proof. If I could do it (which i did) then you can do it.

don't be afraid. you can always go back to 1.11

So did you first delete 1.1 ver. & then install 1.9 version & then install the guage? Or what steps in order did you take?
