Got the Diff back from the specialist but he's found one the flanges sticks out more than the other?

Can this be right as the longer one only enters the needle roller by about 1/4"

Man that doesn't look right. Are both hubs the same overall lengths?Do they use through bolts or clips on the shafts to hold them in place?I'm sure Joseph will chime in on this.

I wasn't going to... but since you asked. :)

On my set-up, the splines are slightly different lengths (more like 1/4") but the major size difference is the half-shafts! put them up next to each other and you'll have a similar difference in spacing that you have in that. The best thing, of course, would be to call MW on Monday to see if this is how they are doing it now. But the _other_ thing to check is the lengths of the half-shafts. I'd expect them to be close in length rather than different. MW _may_ have changed to this as the half-shafts are NOT interchangeable (L and R) on my set-up. On yours, if they are, then you figured out how they made them interchangeable.

my .02...

Turned out MW sent me a Gen3 kit which means one of the stub axles is a little longer!

Carl, I posted this on the alley but did you ask them if they were going to reimburse you for the $$$ you spent having the incorrect part assembled. I imagine your guy isn't going to crack this open again and reinstall the correct shaft free of charge. I wouldn't be pleased.
