Autoweek showing new Viper

NOT!! There's an article in today's version of Autoweek that shows a red car that is supposed to be the new Viper. It's not close. It's just one of the lame attempts to guess at the design. The new design is much better!

There has to be a certain pride among VCA Members that no one that was invited, and honored to view the design model of the next generation Viper has leaked a photo to the internet.

Those that attended the VOI in Salt Lake City were allowed to see the new car on the condition that they would take no pictures.

This has allowed Dodge to get valuable feedback from their customers, while allowing them to release details on the new car as is most appropriate to its success.

It is interesting to see other websites and publications flail around, trying to come up with the new design, while the Viper Faithful were allowed a full advance viewing.

Gilles didn’t rule out the use of an engine from it’s new parent company Fiat, which owns Ferrari, but said the next Viper won’t just borrow a powerplant. He did say that the long hood with the cabin near the rear of the car would change.

So true. I think of the 4 or 5 articles that have come out since yesterday, only one had got the quote right.
