Re: Baltimore Grand Prix....

That would be a good idea.... My friend who does the clear bra's on my car introduced me to the PCA (Porsche Club) President a month ago. He came over from their HQ, which is in Columbia, MD, to admire my Viper. Maybe he will let us.

PCA doesn't have enough room as they are expecting a full house.... they have 300+ cars that want to attend but are limited. We did get an invitation to their open house on Sept. 29th if we would like to go.... Pretty cool of them! I'll try the BMW club.

Yes, more details on the Terraces please. Are you talking about the area on this map labled TRACKSIDE? (just below area 22)
I didnt like that area last year because your sitting at ground level on a straightaway so all you see is a blur and get the ear piercing sounds of full throttle.

Re: Baltimore Grand Prix....

Guys, I got an email earlier today that SRT may be sending something out regarding the Baltimore Grand Prix. As soon as I know something I will pass along.

The terrace event is a charity sponsored Terrace to support the Wounded Warriors foundation and I believe its right between gates B and C on the north side of that map..... but I'm already signed up for the SRT sponsored event... of course!!!! :2tu:

Have fun guys. Made travel plans months ago when vettes and porches were the only ones on their 'list' - will be out of state then.

I'll also be away, in Floida. I wish we had a little more notice on this (from SRT), because I would really like to attend, but too late now to change plans.

Wow. Just found the email in my box. That is a nice HOOKUP from SRT. Like an over $200 value for $100

Re: Baltimore Grand Prix....

I'm hoping next year we will get more notice about this deal. I had originally planned to go to the Grand Prix, and bought tickets in June at full price. Luckily I sold them, so no big deal. I assume it's pretty last minute since SRT just announced that they're sponsoring the event.

Next year, the GTS-R will be running in Baltimore, and I'm hoping this deal is still there!

Interesting article. This says that the GTS-R will be running in Baltimore....

“We don’t do any advertising, so it’s a good way to showcase our products,” Dan Reid, a spokesman for SRT, said in a telephone interview. He noted it was the first time that Chrysler sponsored an IndyCar race. The automaker has also committed to fielding its Viper team in the A.L.M.S. race.

Re: Baltimore Grand Prix....

I went last year and it was great. Unfortunately I got our tiks about 2 weeks before SRT sent the notice so I'm not doing the SRT event since it came out late, bummer. But I'll be there all day on Saturday, the ALMS day.

Dave.
