Ok, this may be a dumb question. I purchased a new set of Powerslot rear rotors which I am soon to put on. The instructions say you "must" use new pads with the new rotors. My question is: do I really have to? I have a rear set of R4S pads with 8k miles and plenty of pad which I hate to throw out. Otherwise I will probably get a set of EBC Reds to use with the Axxis pads up front (also putting on a Stoptech front setup)
Use would be street with occasional mild track use.

Thanks and feel free to tell me to just follow the instructions!

I've always read that it's better to temper and bed new rotors with used pads. It's also a good idea to stay consistent using the same pad compound with the rotors if you're running them on track. More consistent performance.
