I don't know about this specific configuration; but, Dodge did do changes during the production of some model years. Therefore, cars built before the change date would be different than after that date.

I did a little searching and here are a few links to tell you a little about the differences. I didn't see anything about the seatbelts though.

Good luck in your hunt and purchase of a Viper !

Gen 1 interior Vipers all had the seat belts mounted on the doors and buckled at the console. UNLESS....it was built for Canada...then they were mounted inboard(center of the car and buckled outboard) like the Gen 2s. (They also have dual language stickers, KM speedo, etc)

Why did they switch to the inboard mounting anyway? Vipers are the only car I've seen with that type of mounting.

I never gave much thought, or researched why the belts were mounted inboard. Guessing...perhaps it was easier to mount the retractor in the middle than in the cramped area next to the seats by the doors? Just a guess?

I do know that the reason they were mounted on the doors in the early cars was a government thing. The idea was that they should be left buckled, and a person would lift the belts to get in the car. Lots of cars had that arrangement and those awful motorized shoulder belts too to comply with the rules at the time. Canada didn't have that law.

i think so..I saw that speedo is in km too.. Moreover i think that 1994 viper's owner changed interior because are in total black..but i know that in 1994 interior are only grey..Black from '96..
