Factory HID Color "K" value

Hi,

Wanting to get a 35w HID kit for the fog lights on the 08 Viper, but couldnt find in the searches at all what the factory HID low beams are. I would guess 6k ?

If anyone knows that would be great. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the fog lights are designed for regular bulbs, and you put in an HID kit, wouldn't it be blinding oncoming drivers?

Anything over 5000k looks ricer and bootleg. Some people like that look but it is very aftermarkety. If you have pep boy fender vents I recommend 8000k.

Love driving my pep boys viper with my pep boys hids!! Not sure why but that ignorant pep boys reference annoys me. Guess BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, Lambos and a lot of other middle to high end cars need to stop shopping at pep boys since their ranges are from 4300k to 8k.

I just wanted to match the color of the fog lamps with the stock low beam HIDs on the car.

Is there a 9145 bulb color that matches?

That may be possible that the light pattern will be blinding, that will not be good, especialy as I believe they are the daytime running lamps for canadian cars.
