For thoes who know, good for you. For those who do not, NEVER re-fill a generator or water pump with gas while the engine or exaust is hot. The fumes can ignite or a small "splash" of the gas can also ignite the gas can, meaning you have a gas bomb in your hands and it just exploded. Please be careful and if you have neighbors/freinds/family , let them know also.

And don't do what fools in NC do...run a gas powered generator indoors. There are always some stupid genes being removed from the gene pool by running generators indoors, including closed garages.

It.s not as dangerous because kerosene like diesel will burn but is not as volatile as gasoline. But it is never worth taking the chance.
Wait at least 5 min before re-filling.
