How much gear oil in the rear end?

Searched the forum and alot of threads say 2 quarts; my manual says 41 oz of fluid 4 oz addative. Im assuming its the 41oz and 4 oz but want to verify before i seal it up

The answer is: put in the 4 oz of additive FIRST...then fill with the recommended diff fluid til it starts to come out the hole which takes about 41 oonces...the total capacity is 45 ounces.

think it took about 1.75 quarts when i just filled mine. you will need 2 quarts and a bottle of additive. and like above says, put the additive in FIRST then fill.
