Anyone have any experience with what changes have worked best for them tuning with HPTuners for a Gen 3? I have some experience with LS stuff but not everything always carries over.
HPTuners now works with MPVI4

HP tuners has officially supported the JTEC ecu like used in your viper since MPVI3. I am no tuner but the differences I can think of are the very limited resolution of the JTEC controller, the lack of a knock sensor on the viper, and crappy narrowband 02 sensors that really only exist to trigger a check engine light. You cannot rely on the ECU to dial in fuel trims on its own using the 02 sensors like you can on many LS platforms.
I really think you're best off contacting someone with experience to get you a tune file. Dan Cragin did my heads/cam/intake Gen 2.

Not to spilt hairs here but no, the MPVI4 did not do JTEC until recently, at least for the Viper. It was listed as unsupported for a long time specifically under the MPVI4 vehicles. The MPVI3 yes. I am not asking for a tune file, I was just curious if others had done it themselves and what actually had some real effect. I already changed fan turn on and skip shift.

On a Gen3 JTEC+ the O2 sensors do indeed adjust the fuel trims. HPTuners does allow you to adjust them but probably not necessary unless you swapped the cam. If you have their PROLINK cable, you can add a wide-band O2 controller/sensor. This will allow you to log AFR along with everything else.
