i have a 04 convertible. it seems that i don't get the correct amount of oil installed as per the manual. Could someone with the same year measure the stick from the top where it mates to the tube to the end. Thanks!

Bryant--
I have an '05 which has the same motor--I measured 19 and 3/16 for only the metal, not including the rubber or plastic section at the top of the dip stick that fits into the dip stick tube of the engine. Hope that this helps. Let me know if I can help you further--Dave

Stick is the correct length. Still can't figure why I don't pull 11 quarts of oil out of the crankcase.

If the car is not level ( Jacking up the front or front on ramps) then a little oil will still be in the pan. Did you account for the oil in the filter?--Dave
