May 22 Track Day at PIR (Portland, Ore.) . . .

FYI, Club Lotus Northwest has reserved track time at Portland International Raceway in Portland, OR this Friday, May 22.

However, the club still needs about 15 more entries to make the track day financially viable. If anyone is interested in attending please contact Mark Viskov at 503-641-7693.

Tom, that's a good question. I would have your son contact Mark Viskov at the number above. I am not a Club Lotus member, they were just kind enough to let me attend the event and I said I would help get the word out.

I have attended several Lotus club events over the past 8 years or so and they have one of the best run events. They have allowed spectators but a waiver must be signed.

Not sure if they will do it this year or not but they have used the real pit lane for entrance which means you can only cross the track in between sessions, so depending on when spectators arrive they may be detained 20 minutes before getting to where the cars are staged and pitted.
