When my tachometer reaches the rpm that the shift light should come on, the tach just bounces up and down-and the light doesn't light up.

When I remove the pill that tells it when to shift, the tach works fine.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks,
Tim

I finally got mine working. I installed a Armtech light per the instructions in the cookbook but was having problems with stability of the triggering rpm. I switched the trigger wire from the one recommended in the cookbook (Coil #1) to the tach lead (thanks Tom) and all is well now.

Sheyster-I have tried all the different pills-and that just makes the tach stop working at whatever rpm the pill is set for.

Mike H-Yes, the shift light was calibrated for a 10 cylinder. It worked fine for about 4 months-it just started this about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks,
Tim
