Morning folks. Just had my new to me Viper delivered to Herbst for some reconditioning. So far Eric has exceeded my expectations. He personally received the car from the transporter and sent a very professional graphical breakdown of service needs, wants, and maybes.

I’m looking forward to having a ying to the yang of some of my other cars. I think an early Viper is going to be a pretty analog experience.

Hoping to see the car in person in about 3 weeks once the parts arrive and are installed.

Congrats on your new-for-you Viper. I have a Gen ii RT/10 and have enjoyed it for a number of years. I'm sure you will too.

Congratulations on your new Viper….Someday I want to get a Gen 1 RT/10 to add next to my GTS.

The initial service is a bit eye watering but it should be ready for the real world again after $16k is lit on fire. Are there any Viper Clubs in the Chicago area that offer in car instruction for an HPDE day?

Supercharger rebuild, front caliper overhaul, inner/outer tie rods, bushing, sway bar links, ends, poly engine mounts, alignment, full fluid service, etc. essentially a mini restoration on a 26 year old car to bring it up to a condition for an HPDE. $8000 in parts. Howe 3 row aluminum radiator, billet impeller water pump, etc. I like my cars to be reliable.
