After finishing off my R888s at a Slalom last weekend, I'm looking to see wether it's worth trading off a little of the Toyos' super sticky grip for some longevity with the new set. The R888s have silenced many onlookers here that said American cars don't go round corners well and they've lasted 5000 miles, 4 - 5 hrs tracktime over 2 days and a slalom, so not bad. But i'd like to get some advice please re. tires that maybe will give me more life, because in 95% of my driving i don't need super sticky grip....so i guess a harder compound...unless there are other soft tires out there that just come with more rubber on them to start with!?
Thanks :)

The KUMHO 710 will out last the Hoosier and the new KUMHO XS's will be a good middle ground from there and tolerate some water if it happens.
