This is why you should not use them on the Road (second clip, 92 Car)

They started off looking like new, lots of tread. But I knew the score, these tires had come from a friends car which had been issued a salvage cert because he lost control of the car in damp weather.

I participated in a similar event here in the states last year.
It was a 'race against cancer' event. People donated to the charity to ride in the cars 'safely at speed' on the track.

Seemed like a good, productive use of brakes and tires.

Yep, its a real blast, the marshals brief us at the start of the day telling us to go easy as its not a track day........Yea right!
