We stopped at the Clear Fork Gorge again on this trip.
What Frank's saying is, "I swear if I didn't know better, that thing is running straight pipes...." LOL
In truth, it was pretty close to that.
Here's some info on the gorge:
We walked toward the overlooks and Rachel got some shots of some "fleurs":
That one's for you, Chad.
The group at the overlook:
Most-of-the-group shot from the lower overlook:
As you can see, the trees are *close* to changing, but not quite there yet:
The gorge is no joke. It's steep:
"Okay, everyone say 'VIPER!":
Heading back out of the park, we changed up the order a little:
If anyone else gets the chance, I recommend following "myviper". He's a challenge to keep up with.
Plus, the exhaust sounds SWEET when he gets it up over 3000 rpms. Very nice indeed.
Hey- the covered bridge again!
I guess we *are* going the right way! LOL
More cruising through the park:
"Hey Tom- get us out of the sticks and onto some open roads!"
"Okay, let's make a right....":
Yeah!
That's what I'm talkin' about!
We ended up going to this super-historic house in Millersburg called the Victorian house. Hundreds of period correct pieces in there. It's amazing how they lived back then. I mean, a gasoline-fueled iron?!??!?
On our way out of the 'museum', we spotted Johnny Law inspecting tags and making sure we all had our tires inflated to the correct PSI.
The officer was VERY COOL, and a huge Mopar fan (drives an '08 Ram).
I asked him what he thought of this little collection in the parking lot.
His reaction:
WIN!
We took a little jaunt over to Der Dutchman and saw that the line for seating was....how do I put this nicely.....f'ing long. It was moving quickly, but.....
I was wiped out from the last few days, and Rachel had a ton of work to get done so she could enjoy her Sunday.
We said goodbye to the crew and got on the road back to the house.
I took a back-roads route home (Rt. 62), and found out that it's quicker than I-71! I guess me doing 110+ during a couple of my passes didn't hurt either.
Thanks to Tom for setting this up and to everyone else for a great time today. Rachel and I had lots of fun.
We're ready to do it again when you folks are!
