I'm running a DLM SC setup, about 12 psi, ported heads, cam headers, etc.... Doug recommended a NGK BKR7E-11 plug (2 steps colder than stock) gapped at 0.034-0.035 and they perform great. One question is why does the NGK website recommends 0.044 gap.

Are there better plugs out there now?

I do like to stick with what works, but like to keep open minded to new technology. Does anyone know where I can pick up a set of plugs that will work well with this application? Maybe I should stick with the NGK BKR7E-11 plugs?

If you know where can pick up a set, please let me know. They are hard to find.

Thanks,
Jim

Yep, the best plug out there (IMHO), Champ. RC10ECC, if you can find them. Two step colder plug, great driveability.

Are these NGKs # 4554? If so, here are a couple of pictures. You can see the differences.
