...heading towards clifftops at 1220 on September 6th.

Dark grey RT/10: guessing Gen1 - didn't notice NACA but didn't see black Gen1 side exhaust sills either...but was side exit.

Guessing American plate on rear (no front plate): 'FL.....' yellow letters on dark b/ground.

Shame it wasn't hour earlier; would have passed in mine on return from MOT (UK annual roadworthiness test)

O i don't know about the different colours available in different years - i leave that to you and Dave to put us right! :) I'm pretty sure there's no official yellow letter on black colour USA state plate. But it's just as an unofficial a combo for a brit plate and having seen so many foreign plated cars in britain on the UK forums i thought it coulda been an american who might have brought it over for a while... Heard a while back of a Sandbanks (Poole, UK) resident that owned 2 vipers.
