The stock stereo needs to go. Period.

I will prefer to use the stock locations for the speakers and stuff.

This is the setup I have in mind.
** Head Unit -- Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4023_1986436,00.html The dimensions of this head unit is 7" x 2" x 6-1/2" . Will I need some custom stuff to make it fit?
** Pioneer AVG-VDP1 Real-Time Vehicle Dynamics Processor http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4029_192089326,00.html
** Amplifier -- Pioneer PRS-D5000SPL Premier Competition SPL Digital Mono Amplifier with 3000 Watts Max. Power http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_183982244_152869139,00.html
** Subwoofer -- Pioneer TS-W5000SPL Premier® 12" Competition SPL Component Subwoofer http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4061_35327_tab=B,00.html?compName=PNA_ProductDetailComponent
** Speakers -- If I remember right, the front door speakers are 6.5" round speakers. I can use Pioneer TS-D701P Premier 6-3/4" REV-series 2-Way Speaker with 280 Watts Max. Power http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4075_192089287,00.html

What do you guys have done as far as custom stereo setups? Do you think this setup I listed above will work? Will I need capacitors and maybe a seperate battery?

Can you post pictures and specs of the stereo setups you have in your SRT-10?

Do you know a good shop in the Bay Area that will perform a perfect installation and do custom covers when necessary?

Thanks.

I love this car :headbang: :headbang:

I was thinking about doing a complete custom install on my car but then I went with the Mopar Navigation w/ Icruze for my Ipod and new door speakers (db650s) As soon as I pick up the speakers and a new Ipod I'll be doing the install (probably this thursday)

If you are interested in keeping a stock look check this if you haven't RBI

I don't want the MOPAR RB-1. It can't play DVD's, doesn't have the gizmos of the typical modern DVD-players and the screen is small.
I will definitely go for the Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD head unit or something similar.
I drive the SRT-10 open roof most of the time and I want a powerful stereo system. The stock system just *****. I just can't hear it. Period. And the sound becomes terrible above 32 volume. I need to change the speakers, amphi and subwoofer.
I remember seeing posts about an SRT-10 with custom stereo but I can't find it now.

Do an all focal stereo! focal 6" set for the doors and a custom box with 8's in the middle! It will be expensive but it will sound sick! Do a nice setup in the back with a flush

Yep, that's it. I'm not a fan of the Carbon Fiber look but the sub-enclosure looks awesome. Excellent work. Are thase real carbon fiber panels? Is the sub-enclosure fiber glass? I would rather go with Polished aluminum finish.
Can you give me detailed information on what specific parts you used, who did the install, cost, etc.?

Thanks.
