To weld or not to weld...

...that is the question. I'm replacing my stock exhaust and I'm wondering where others welded vs clamped. JonB recommended welding the new turnouts to the cats (Random Tech). How about between the cats and the side mufflers (Corsa cat back)?

I plan on using the TORCA clamps provided for everything behind the side mufflers.

i originally had clamps with no problems. this last setup i have now is all welded, front to back. its solid. IMO either is fine if done right

I went with all welded got tired of the leaks from clamped.

That joint would not have leaked water if it had been fitted with the larger diameter downstream. It's designed backwards for proper leak control.

Weld. I did the clamps, including Torca, but got leaks. Weld...no leaks.

Well I guess the engineers at Corsa are morons then because that's a Corsa system.

My, my, just wait till Ted reads this.
