Transmission Shifting Issue

It has come to our attention that some owners have had trouble shifting their transmissions lately. We have traced this to a common installation error, while replacing/servicing the transmission. The solenoid wiring harness connectors have been incorrectly connected. The skip shift solenoid wiring harness connector is near the middle of the transmission and has grey with orange stripe and pink with grey strip wires. The receptacle on the transmission is white and should not be connected. However the reverse lockout solenoid wiring harness connector is near the rear of the transmission and has light blue with black stripe and pink with grey stripe wires. The receptacle on the transmission is black and should be connected. The wiring diagram for these solenoids is on page 5.2 of the Electrical Section (Section 8) of the Service Manual. The diagram shows both solenoids connected, but do not connect the skip shift solenoid. Please confirm that your car is connected correctly and see pictures below.
