I have a design for a part for the Tremec T-56 transmissions.
I would like to sell the part design out-right, if possible.

If not, I would like to speak with a vendor about the possibility of offering 50-100 of the parts for sale (to VCA members first, of course...heh heh).

The part works on ALL T-56 transmissions, which means your sales are not limited to the Viper folks. Aston Martin, Holden, Ford, Pontiac, and [gulp] Corvette are also possible users.

The part saves consumers from having to buy multiple-piece parts to simply replace one piece.
It is also a healthy upgrade from stock and allows for a plethora of other aftermarket options and custom configurations.

The part is NOT available anywhere else in any form.
No- not even from China.

I have high-quality USA manufacturing all lined up, with excellent quantity pricing (
These guys make MIL-spec look like some dude with a belt sander. :) )
Overseas production is also a possibility. I have an excellent factory in Korea that could produce the part.
Complete CAD files are available.

As a multiple-patent holder, I have decided against that process and will simply sell the design out-right. If the buyer decides to patent the part, I would ask for design credit and part name retention but no other compensation.

This exclusive offer to the VCA vendors will expire on 6.30.09 at which time I will proceed with alternate options.

You can contact me here:

(Please put something like "T56 Part" in the subject box to avoid getting caught in the spam filter)

Thank you for your time.

Just got (2) test pieces from the machine shop.
They're FANTASTIC!

Installation will happen this weekend.
Test results soon after.

Time for some good news and bad news....

GOOD NEWS:
- 50 pieces will be in my hands in the next 10 days.
They will NOT be sold individually by me.

BAD NEWS:
- I *am* patenting the part.

It might help if you give some idea of its function?

And you may want to consider making whatever it is for the TR-6060, since the T-56 is all but fading out...

Thanks Dan.
I did consider the T6060 when designing this, and I *believe* it will work with it.
I remember seeing a cutaway of the T6060 somewhere. That would help me confirm that it works with the T6060.
(If anyone has that pic, I'd love to see it again).

Well, it's the 30th.
I've held good to my word, but I now must begin talking with other potential vendors.

(Thanks for the opportunity, Lee.)

Not really.
I still have the pieces here, and the test unit in the truck is working perfectly the last 8K miles or so, even with a few brutal "Get Out My Way A-Hole" shifts on my part. :)

It's still available if anyone is interested.
