VIPER D\'S WINTER PROJECT BEGINS TODAY (PICS)

my 1st project was started a little while back (twin turbo mustang cobra 1000 rwhp)

Now my 2nd winter project officially began this morning at 6:30 am. As many of you may know my viper is off to RSI to be converted from 700 rwhp paxton blower to twin turbos.

Here are some pics of my car being picked up by http://goldrushmotorsports.com. I got to meet Henry (the driver), wife Cindy and 2 of their pugs . I gotta tell you after meeting them and seeing 2 brand new lambos, A pro steet *******, and a $1.5 million race car. I felt that my viper is in good shape.

Good feedback on the transportation company; can you share with us their pricing guidlines-to use your phrase "Viper Tax".

I paid $2500 (from $2700 viper discount not tax)round trip from ny to texas and back (insured for 100k). Keep in mind that a very well known viper transporter (no names please) quoted me almost $4500 for the same trip with zero insurance

If you think sending your Viper from NY to TX is a long way, check out my Viper's roadtrip. I sent it from San Francisco to FL (approx. 3,100 miles) by Gold Rush Motorsports and I couldn't be happier.
Gold Rush Motorsports are way to go . Insurance for 100k is in the deal too.

Good luck with your TT project. Gerald and Jason at RSI are awesome people to work with. I'm sure it's going to be a beast.

Wasn't what you purchaced originally a stage 1 setup good for around 700rwhp...might you have upped the ante a bit there D? Anyway, good luck with the project and keep us posted.

I got to drive the car in Houston and man does this car really kick ass now. I think you'll be happy with your results. I spent time with both Jason and Gerald at RSI and think they're class acts.

My car made 705 rwhp at RSI with the old blower setup. With good leak down #'S. Its really moving along, heres a pics that I got to show the progress.

I am getting the newest design in the foot wells (I can upgrade turbo sizes in the future). Also I chose RSI mostly b/c I bought a raffle ticket off the winner that couldn't use it on his car at a discount.

D are you getting (or have you had) any internal engine work done to prepare for the turbo? Just curious as I know you have run nitrous and a blower on that motor and it would be interesting to see how the stock bottom end deals with the turbo.

As of right now I am am keeping it mild. No motor work. I have a twin turbo mustang that is almost done (twin t57's) With no cats and leaded race gas it should be in the 1000 hp range. So if I want to beat on that its only $8000 for a good motor build up as opposed to $30,000 for the viper if I blow it up.


But who know's things can change last min.
