JULY 11-13 ~ Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals-Pre-register now for “Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals”. The dates for this event are July 11-13. The Vipers are scheduled to slither in on Saturday, July 12th. Visit the Carlisle Events home page, www.carsatcarlisle.com, to complete the form on-line, or, print it off and mail it in to complete your pre-registration. When pre-registering please be sure to indicate that you are a member of the VIPER CLUB OF AMERICA. The number of pre-registered Vipers determines the number of spaces the Viper Club is allotted on the show field. It also helps us establish a preliminary headcount for the catered luncheon beginning at 11:30 AM. So please, don’t delay, pre-register by June 24th! We welcome members of any Viper Club to join us under the Viper tent in Carlisle on July 12th.

As of 5/22 there were only 12 Vipers pre-registered with Carlisle Events. At that rate we certainly won’t be allotted a very big area on the showfield. So please, don’t delay, pre-register today!

Questions regarding this event may be directed to Ginger ([email protected] or 607-426-0837).

Since my last post regarding pre-registration (5/29), we have only picked up 6 cars…and of those 6, 2 people each registered 2 cars, so only 4 people have just recently pre-registered. My "Carlisle Events" contact has again reiterated the new club tent policy to me. It states that we must have 25-49 cars pre-registered by June 22 in order to get a 20’x20’ tent. That is not a big enough tent to accommodate the food, tables and chairs, not to mention the people. Last year we had a 20’x30’ tent, plus 2 personal 10’x10’ tents which were used for the purposes of registration and shirt sales. Those that were at the 2007 event know that it was crowded under the tent at lunch time. We must have50 cars pre-registered by June 22 to be awarded a 20’x30’ tent again this year. Ideally, a 20’x40’ tent would be the best. It would certainly help our club volunteers that assist with set-up early Saturday morning if those 2 smaller tents did not have to be set up, not to mention taking them down after spending all day in the hot sun.

In order to be fair to those that have pre-registered, it has been suggested that we use two different colored wrist bands for the luncheon. One color would signify that you pre-registered which would give you preference to go through the lunch line, as well as secure you a seat at a table under the tent. The second color would be used for those that did not pre-register, which means you just might be eating on the grass in the hot sun! We may have to use that idea.

We are expecting a record crowd for this event and I feel like I’m beating an old drum, but PLEASE, help us out here folks!!! I know many of you wait to see what the weather is going to be like that day, however, that does not help us out for planning purposes. We need to have an idea of how many to order lunch for as well and the pre-registration numbers help with that too. We have always been lucky and had enough food, but this year could be different.

Visit the Carlisle Events home page, www.carsatcarlisle.com , to either complete the form on-line, or, print it off and mail it in to complete your pre-registration. Please be sure to indicate that you are a member of the VIPER CLUB OF AMERICA. Keep in mind that all registration fees will increase $10 after June 23, 2008.

Questions regarding this event may be directed to Ginger ([email protected] or 607-426-0837).

Sounds like the weather man is taking care of us on Friday & Saturday in Carlisle. :D (See the report at the bottom.)

On another note, if you are coming to the Viper event in Carlisle on Saturday and did not pre-register, unless you have already done so, please send me an email ([email protected]). Doing so will help with the head count for the luncheon.

:thankyou:to all that came out for the Viper event during Chryslers @ Carlisle on July 12th. The weather was perfect, the Vipers created an awesome scene and the number of Viper friends gathered under the tent was astounding! We also extend a thank you to all of those that purchased our auction items and bought 50-50 tickets. We could not have asked for a better day in PA. We received credit for 55 Vipers which captured The VCA the 2nd place trophy in the Club Challenge Contest for the second year in a row. The Northeast Hemi Owners Group won 1st place with 88 cars, and there was a tie for 3rd place between 2GN.org (second generation) and Mopar Mailing List, each with 45 cars.

Below are the class winners:

Vipers 92-99
1st – Lauri Virkkunen – PA-WV
2nd – Norman Barnum – PA-WV
3rd – Larry McCourry – MD-VA

Vipers ’00-‘08
1st – John Yorke – NJ
2nd - Michael McNeil – VA-MD
3rd – Carlos Ugaz – VA-MD

Plaques will be mailed to those winners by Carlisle Events.

Happy Vipering!
Denny & Ginger

Denny & Ginger,
Thanks, as always for the great hospitality! Sorry I couldn't stay longer, but the "surprise" went well.

Nice Video...I just stumbled on it today.

Hey....are you interested in somehow making that into a 90 second VIPER commercial for the competition for VOI 10? However, you don't have much time as it has to be in VCA Headquarters by Friday, Aug 15th. :dunno:

Thanks for taking the time to put the video together. We did have a nice day and some nice Vipers at Carlisle again this year.

Sorry I missed this Ginger. Didn't really matter since I'm in Alaska and can't really do anything anyway. If you every want any of my footage just let me know. It's all free to the public and completely amateur.
